Just installed a brand new sound system

installed the system last night with two friends of mine. Here's the system..

Radio - Pioneer http://caraudio.avdeals.com/pioneercar/DEHP9600MP.htm

Amplifier - 1600 watt Audiobahn

Subwoofer - Immortal Audiobahn 12" 2000W RMS Subwoofer http://www.caraudiodeals.com/product_info....products_id=193

When we installed the system. it played good but my windows weren't going up or down. So I was like WTF! lol. but I remember something about disconnecting the battery for 5-10 minutes and doing that would reset the ECU. So that's what I did and after I connected the battery again everything seemed to work fine. The windows were working as intended. But anyways, the system plays like a champ! it hits really hard and sounds good. it's loud =D
I'm installing my HID's tonight. I'll post pics later tonight.

i highly doubt thats true 2000rms at $205 a pop... i ran jl 10w7s and they are only rated around 500rms... the 13.5w7 is a 1000rms... and thats about as close to true watts as its gonna get. dont get me wrong thats a hell of a rating on a subwoofer, but a lot of companies as such ratings are over rated by a good margin... rule of thumb w/ amps is paying a dollar per watt... 500/1 mono JL amp is appr. $500 plus taxes. nevertheless he's got a decent setup that should do him well if properly setup, congrats on your hookup bro

ps- more watts doesnt neccessarily mean its louder FYI... its a misleading marketing ad thats blown out of porportion IMO... ofcourse more watts=more power, but not always louder.. depending on the driver and what its meant for and how its built, boxes, tuned, etc... i like to learn about this stuff so if im the one misleading please put me in my place, but from what i get out of what ive learned is what ive said above lol

And you're not getting more than ~1000wrms out of ANY amp unless you've got a high output alty in there.

My lights dim with my 600 watt Phoenix Gold amp.
