NSTonAIM: the theories that have been derived on the topic have stemmed from those of serious race car drivers and teams
NSTonAIM: teams that build and prep small displacement engines, very high output, and very high redlines
NSTonAIM: 2.5 liter, 500hp, 12,000 rpm
NSTonAIM: those engines also spend 90% of their lives at redline or very close to it
NSTonAIM: in such an application any type of vibration is bad
NSTonAIM: inside, outside, block, head, left, right.... very bad
NSTonAIM: so they are right, the small amount of rubber in the crank pulley does help with that a little bit in such crazy conditions
NSTonAIM: this technology was then carried on over to production cars to help such cars last longer when not taken very good care of by their owners
NSTonAIM: owners who neglect their engines, never change oil, do not do proper maintentance, do not change timing belts on time, do not change gaskets, dont know when they should shift or how they should drive

NSTonAIM: how many of those 60 minutes will be spent at redline?

NSTonAIM: or better yet, for every 60 minutes that you spend driving, how many minutes are at redline?
NSTonAIM: 1 minute?
Me: it can't be long. seconds at most.

NSTonAIM: lets make those other guys arguments even stronger
NSTonAIM: lets assume that for every 60 minutes you spend 10 minutes at redline!!!

NSTonAIM: you make 250hp, and go to about 7,000 rpm about 15% of your engines life
NSTonAIM: they make 500hp and to to about 12,000 rpm about 90% of their engines life

NSTonAIM: one is SC, the other is turbo
NSTonAIM: they spend 100% of their lives on drift tracks
NSTonAIM: we do nothing but race these to death
NSTonAIM: and over the past few years we have had ZERO issues with our pulleys on these cars
NSTonAIM: would we really take these cars to race tracks and blow them up with our pulleys and make us look like morons?
NSTonAIM: would that be smart business?

NSTonAIM: i have not had even one customer contact me during the past few years to say that his motor blew with a pulley of mine
NSTonAIM: not one
NSTonAIM: or as a result of one of our pulleys
NSTonAIM: sure, if you run 15psi through your tC and dont manage it properly itll blow up, with or without a pulley
NSTonAIM: and yes, the theories about vibrations being bad are correct and applicable
NSTonAIM: but not in the case of your car
