well...I think I'm the first of the forums. My tC got wreaked. No pictures yet.

I was going down a moderately busy road here in Charlotte (Tryon, right after it crosses Harris) and I rear ended someone. I was quite a ways from the next light, a good 100 yards, and all I know is someone to my left pulled some sort of goofy surve so I looked over and next thing I know I'm in this 54 year old lady's rear end. This happened yesterday at about 5:30. My insurance company has already looked at it at the wreaker yard and said it's fixable...

Let me tell you, those crumple zones are scary little SOB's... I'm so pissed off at myself for what happened. My dad and I feel it's possible this whole situation is some sort of insurance scam, that crap you see on 20/20 all the time...

sorry to hear dude... how did an old lady just appear? they are tricky elderly, i got into 2 accidents (not my fault) and both were 77/78. -shrugs-
I talked to two collision centers about fixing my rear bumper, which has been the victim of an anonymous hit and run while parked (people suck), and between the two of them, they had 5 wrecked tCs awaiting parts. That kind of seems like a lot for a car that hasn't been out very long.

Sorry about your luck. Hopefully it won't take forever and a day to get it fixed, and the parts availability issue is being dealt with.
That sucks! At least its fixable though. I hate driving around the University area traffic is horrible.
Best of luck to you.
Sorry to hear about that... hope everyone's okay and your car gets fixed quickly

i feel the same way. i get nervous as soon as i get around the area for my school. and i'm afraid of the parking lots too. i don't want any dings, dents, or scratches. rock chips are traumatic enough for me. i found a bunch on the front while washing the car the other day.
anyway, hopefully this isnt a scam man. i hope you get it all worked out and get your tc back soon.

glad your okay and you tC is fixable.
well at least you're ok, and its fixable, have any idea how much its going to cost you? and what not? this might be a nice excuse for a body kit and new paint scheme
Sucks dude.

I dont find the 5 cars suprising, since they have probably sat there for a month+ each waiting on parts, so they just keep piling up.

Maybe that means tC owners are just bad drivers

Or people are so fixated on the car....jaws dropped wide open and eyes all big and wide, that they can't help but be "drawn" to it.

;-)
Sorry to hear that.
