Perhaps most people don't like it or for the fact that when most of us early buyers bought our tCs the pedestal spoiler was not available.
awwww but the pedestal spoiler makes it so sporty =D
Yeah when i bought mine in 04 it wasnt an option...the pedestool spoiler came out like a couple months after. I am happy with my lip spoiler..to me it just looks better.

I agree... i like my lip spoiler. The pedestal spoiler makes the car look weird... it's too much for the car. And yeah, when I got my tC in Sept.. it was not an option anyway.
I like the pedestal spoiler and it makes it look really awesome yet some of us may not have the money (like myself) to purchase one. Also its not on my priority list.
not everybody wants the leftover Grand Am spoiler. Different strokes.......
yeah sorry burst your bubble (if I am) but I really don't like the pedestal spoiler at all. It just looks awkward, and screams dealer installed option. Not too keen on the lip spoiler either. Kaminari wing is okay, and I saw another guy with a civic-ish oem looking spoiler that looks pretty good IMO. I would like to see a g35 type from the aftermarket, more refined yet still stylish.
Define "sporty" please:)

Sporty to me means things that make my car perform better;)

i like the tc with neither of the two spoilers. for some reason they take away from the good looks
same reason we (gf and i) dont have the LED's, special shift knob, battery tiedown, etc....we didnt like or want it, even though it wasnt out when we bought ours
Although I like the look of both spoilers, I just think they're really overpriced. Not on my priority list...
i feel both those spoilers take away form the car. its wierd but it doesnt look the same with them on.

That would be me.
Anyone who wants to see what he is referring to can check the link in my sig. I agree with what the guy is saying, though -- I have never been a fan of the lip spoiler. I initially paid for it when I got my car, but it was on back-order, and after two weeks and a couple times of seeing it on other tCs, I decided I'd rather have $400 than a strange growth that can barely be seen from 15 feet away..

I bought mine with the lip spoiler. I looked at the one in the showroom which had the pedestral spoiler on and thought it looked "too much" for the car. I prefer just a little accent to the tC.

I used to have a 1999 Accord V6 Coupe without any spoiler. On that car, I thin it's sweeter without.

The lip is still the only spoiler I've seen for the tC that I like.

I agree. I've never liked spoilers to begin with. I live in a town cluttered with (usually primered) Civics with huge tinfoil wings on the back, and it just gets to be rediculous. I thought about not getting a spoiler at all, but I didn't really like the way the back angled down a little bit. I think the lip spoiler is just enough to accent the car without drawing attention to it.
Let me ask all you this... as a female.. What is the point of spending more money on some stupid lip or spoiler when you can actually add to the performance of the car. With or without it, it looks sweet! If you want it to be "sportier" then it's time to start tweaking the inside instead of worrying about the looks. The Fast and the Furious stage is over.... let's get into some serious upgrades.

My reason, I bought this car for my wife who is not interested in driving hard or getting serious performance out of it. She simply likes the look and sometimes, looks can mean a lot. To her, she feels that the lip spoiler adds a nice touch. I happen to agree on this, so, we went with it.

For myself, I used to drive cars such as a Corvette, Jeep, Saab 9000 Turbo, Accord V6 coupe. I drove them fast, especially the Vette and the Saab. I have sinced cooled down and I'm now enjoying a smooth comfy ride in my Avalon XLS (No, I'm not old). Right now I would rather be driving a smooth riding car than a high performance one.

So, I bet there are still other people out there who are not too concerned about the inside since they're never gonna be racing with anybody but would rather like to be driving in something they like to look at.

IMO I really like the pedestal spoiler, I have never been a fan of lip spoilers. It is kind of expensive though, but since I only had to pay 1/3 of the car because of my parents I said go ahead and put it on.
