Hello everybody, I am going to purchase a TC here in the very near future, and I am trying to decide which options to get. I'm not planning on racing it or anything, but would like to know which things have proved to be the most usefull or have contributed to the car being more enjoyable to drive, etc. etc.. Right now I am considering the 6 disc stereo and maybe the trd exhaust. Thanks for any suggestions.

hey Dave, there are a lot of other posts about this topic, so do some searching and browsing. There's plenty of info here. Welcome to the site, and hope you find it informative and entertaining. My sig states the options that i'm planning on getting, but I definitely suggest you browse around.

One option that you should consider that Scion does not offer is getting the windows and rear hatch tinted... It's a relatively cheap appearance enhancement and makes the car cooler .. Other than that, it's all personal preference.

For appearance: Springs, Tint, 18' wheels

For performance: Sway Bar, Strut Bar, and TRD Exhaust

I would have to say the 6 disc cd player is not worth it, you have a mp3 cd player so do you really need 6 mp3 cds in your car? thats 700 * 6 = 4.2gigs of music, Ill be fine with my 700mb, which equates to about 175 songs per cd. That color option is pretty nice tho, cuz the stock amber isnt very pretty, but then to make it match you would have to change all the lights including the AC screen. Well as for the most worthwhile options I would have to say any of the suspension mods will give you most enjoyment of your ride because I believe handling = fun to drive. The TRD exhaust seems way to expensive for an axle back system, and the intake isn't necessary if your thinking about the SC. So I would go with all the suspension mods, front tie struts, shocks, sway bar, and springs. The shifter & pedal would also be a nice option to do, but recommend purchasing from http://www.mcgeorgeparts.com/ bcuz they are very easy to install and cheaper thant he dealer. I never liked the feel of the stock shifter and the look of the stock pedals dont go too well after you install the shifter haha.

I really like my TRD exhaust, but I agree that it is very expensive for an axle back system. It does sound really nice though! Other than that, I'd say the springs, strut bar, and sway bar are the most worth while factory options.

Yea I really do like the look and sound of the TRD exhaust but still couldn't dish out the money after finding out it was an axle back and also the install at the dealership is insane.

Thanks guys for the input, I have read alot in other threads about what options others have gotten or availability of items, but hadn't seen alot about what others have liked or disliked about them. This has been a big help, as far as the spring kit how much has installation charges been, I think I might go that route but don't want to get gouged by the dealership for installation. Thanks again!
