I'm still a bit confused. How long has the AEM been out?
Its not out.
That's what I thought, but then I found this link: AEM Intake
The AEM isn't out yet. If you can get one shipped to you by early next week, i'll eat my left shoe.

I installed the K&N a couple weeks ago and so far it seems fine. I can't say that I actually measure anything on my 'butt dyno', but I don't push this car as much as I have previous cars. The main thing I have noticed is that the sound is far more aggressive than stock. In fact, it was startling the first time I took off from a standing start after installing the intake. I think the real difference will come with a replacement header/exhaust/intake combo.
I didn't mean this link as a challenge
. I was just curious since that site was mentioned as a credible place to buy accessories in a different thread, yet it claims to sell a products which isn't out yet...

EDIT: After hearing about krzy's experience with an intake, I'm thinking about getting the K&N. What does everybody think? should I wait for the AEM, or will it be about the same?

Ive got the K&N, Sounds AMAZING, and i did notice a slight gain. Go with the K&N and you wont be dissapointed!
And who knows how long you will be waiting for the AEM, i had to wait a couple months for the K&N but i believe its shipping out right away now.
I am for sure waiting for the AEM intake, I loved it in my turboed honda and I will stand by them in my scion!

You're assuming it will ever come out........ I'm becoming increasingly skeptical.

This is too true but according to AEM vendors it will hit the streets soon because they are stilling waiting on CARB approval.

It has been waiting on carb approval since last fall............... You could have pre-ordered one 9 months ago.
^^^ Yup.
i am using an injen intake on the xB we are building. i dont know anyone who has run one on a tC, but the x-car guys seem really happy with it on their cars. a viable option for intake, i would say. realistically, no one knows when the mythical aem will be available. problem is, its mated to the s/c as a package. so, the question no one seems to be able to answer is this : is the s/c holding up the release of the intake, or is the intake holding up the release of the s/c?
It seems like they'd release the intake now if they could....
