The snow should be going away soon, so I can finally consider buying some new rims for my tC. I'm thinking of moving up to 18s just because it looks better to me, even though I know performance will decrease.

I need suggestions on good places to buy a wheel/tire combo in the Albany area, or even a nice place to buy online. However, if I buy online, I'll need suggestions on a reputable garage in the area to put them on and balance them.

You can go to 18's without losing performance. All you have to do is go with a smaller well wall size. I got my tC with 18's and all they do is go from 215/45/ 17's to 225/40 18's and you will have the same size wheel.
