I finally got my Alphaworks Header on. Now that its on its the loudest thing ive ever heard, its sooo obnoxious. I have the Injen exhaust, and got my resonator chopped off. The only thing i can think of is getting a new resonator put on? Anyone know of anything that can help me? I dont want to take the Header off because it made sucha difference in power! Thanks.

yeah, i have heard people mention that the header swap adds a bunch of noise. not sure if there is anything you can do about it. a resonator is only going to do so much.
The cat-less headers are pretty obnoxious even with stock resonator/muffler. I can imagine how crappy it sounds with a fartcan and chopped res...
Yea, its horrible. How much do you think the resonator will help? are there better aftermarket resonators????
Full stock exhaust will make it much quieter. But it will still sound somewhat like wet farts. And mega power gain? I want to see 1/4 slips to believe. DC Header on mine made it bog down if anything.
The only thing I can thing of Greg is to swap mufflers. Get a different style or something. Resonators really won't make that much of a difference. Other than that, i'd say removing your intake which i'm sure you don't want to do would tone it down a bit. Its tough to trade power for annoying sound. You just don't need any unwanted hassle from OPPD with your loud ass exhaust. I tried to tell you it was gunna get louder! LOL... you shoulda bought HIDs instead. Good luck man
HAHAHA ya Hids would be sick. Im calling the Muffler Man tomorrow morning and see what he has to say. Anyone else with the I/H/E on this site get pissed like me?????
zoltiz and I installed the K&N intake on my car, and then on his...and both of us hated how loud it was.

... but we are old and "not real car guys".
That's right...somehow, I feel like having steady jobs and not owing more on our cars than they're worth also prevent us from being "real car guys."
hey, i have a steady job and am still a real car guy. what are you saying, marty? dont make me spike your drink.

You have your title already like Marty and me?
Hey, hey, I'm just trying to nail down the definition of "real car guys."
LOL... ok Real Car guys... lets stay on topic here.

Greg, call Muffler man, see what they think. Otherwise you may be selling something soon... LOL!
I lasted all of 3 days with the header, and I had stock exhaust behind it. Good thing I did not have to pay anybody to take it off / put it on.
I know what u mean basilisk4, some people buy new cars like toothbrushes and end up being thousands of dollars in debt from mods before they even have the car paid off! In philly, this type of person is what we call "ghetto rich". Similar to the guys living in the projects who drive escalades with 22's and full audio/video systems.
^^^ but cant make a rent payment.
