My Water spots came out. I used about twice as much car wash as I usually do so it was extra sudsy, and I was ANAL about keeping the entire car dripping wet when moving from one section of the car to another. Also, when I went to dry the car, I attacked the spots that showed the water marks last time first. I used alot of upper body strength to really "buff" out the spots, and to prevent future ones. When I was done, I hadn't a spot left (aside from a few small rock chips
).

I'm going to wait till I hit 1000 miles to give her a good waxin. I've just heard alot of mixed reviews about when to give a new car its first wax job. But since water still beads up like crazy, I figure I'll wait a little longer.

any of you guys have a leaf blower layin around? i use it on my truck (its black) and my dads harley (also black). dries perfect everytime, just start at the roof and move downwards, pay attention to doorhandles, mirrors, and any lines or grooves that can trap water.
i used to use a chamois clothe (spelling?) but after awhile i was getting swirls, now i refuse to lay a clothe on my paint unless its soaked with water and soap, or when i wax ya know.
also if you have an air compressor, you can blast it down with air. same effect but you need to have a large enough tank to dry the whole car.

I was mowing my lawn last weeka and I used the weed wacker to trim some stuff about 5 feet from my car. As a result, some of the leaves got stuck onto the tC.

So, I washed it off with some water, basically just spraying the car with water to wash off the stuff. I left it wet.

So, as a result, I woke up to find water spots all over the car the next day. Also, I happened to be under the weather so I did not want to come out and exert myself by washing the car.

Well, 4 days passed and I had more strength (yesterday). I decided to wash the car and luckily the water spots were gone without any problem.

I was reading this post when it first came out and was kind of worried that the spots would stick hard to the car but since I was sick, I just did not have the strength to do the complete wash. Lucky I don't get hard water around where I live.

I had really bad etched in water spots on my tc and I tried everything to get them out. I even had a hard time seeing out my windshield at night. I brought the car to the dealer and they got them out for me as a "one time courtesy" thing. It looked like garbage before I brought it in and now it looks great. They told me I have to wax it at least once a month to avoid the water spots. My dealer is Route 44 Toyota in Raynham, MA.

What kind of mixed reviews? Because the first week after I got my 2005 Camry I washed and waxed it (stupid birds) and my paint still looks pretty good to me but now you got me worried.

AutoZone or someplace similar should have everything you need. Although I've never went looking for a clay bar. You can always order your stuff online... you can find pretty much anything you want online. Just ask my russian wife that I bought on eBay.
(kidding, of course)

^^^ I've never bought anything from these guys so I can't comment on their prices or service or anything like that, but they have some great articles on car care... I doubt they would steer you wrong. I just linked to this site in another thread about 3 minutes ago.
Hope it helps.
