yeha i had the same trouble, and i think it was becasue when i washed my car the hood was still warm, my solution was to wait a while after driving and park in teh garage or shade about an hour prior to washing, then i just made sure i dried the hood first....since then. no spots....

and after two applications of wax, my spots went away...
