lol I raced a stang last night. I knew I didnt have a chance on GTs so I went up to a stang and made sure he was a 5spd V6. I whoop the hell out of it LoL a regular camaro hopped in on this too. they were friends first run I beat them both. second run camaro pulled off at the end. I guess base model domestics are slow =oP

P.S. I got my brother's Red prelude tomorrow. Im going to rase a Trans Am lol its an automatic, then imma get my manager's cobra and race a WS6(TA) puwhaha fun stuff

The Trans Am is going to smoke you. That v8 is going to dust ya, even auto.
if the Lude is the newer one with VTEC and your brothers a good driver your done, the Trans Am will take you , and so will the Cobra..u are doing these races for fun right? Your not serious about beating em are you..cuz ur dreams are gonna be crushed
Your matching your weak points to there strong points. You need to turn that around and invite then on some twisty back roads. There you will in charge.
The new cobras and saleens are pushing out about 400hp no way a tC could beat them. Unless the driver just falls asleep! I mean even a crappy driver should be able to beat you with no worries.
Even the best new cobra can only manage a .84g. The tC with 18's can do about a .91g. Thats a huge difference on twist back roads.
I'm not sure what 18" wheels have to do with anything, but I think the STOCK tC pulls .84g... With better tires it'd be much better.
i think he means the factory optional 18s with the pirellis
yes, I have the 18's with 225/40zr18 P Zero Nero's. And I enjoy messin with the ricers and american muscle cars on the back roads in the Sierra Foothills. That's where this car shines.
i highly doubt you beat a V6 mustang. i have a V6, and beat my neighbores tC, no questions asked. maybe it was luck, but even MY tC cant compare to my V6
being the owner of a tc and having driven a 02 z-28 auto w/g-tech pro doing a 0-60 in 5.54 and 1/4 mile @14.14 @99.96 all I can say is good luck. As you may be thinking what does a z-28 have to do with a t/a, it's roughly the same car with a little more weight.
Yea it is nice to have cheap fast american cars. Too bad there as refined like a trailer park and have no concept of quality.
yes my tc beat a V6 mustang unless there is something under that...then it could have been a slower mustang.
I raced the cobra tonight. barely lost. not with the tc with the lude type S
My friend beat a v6 mustang by 2 car lengths in his mazda3 s, and i'm pretty sure the tC and the mazda3 s are very closely matched. It is quite possible. V8's there's no chance though.

And your still underestimating an Ls1 car.... an 02 Z28 auto should run 13.5 around 105 all day long..... And t/a's are the same weight as a z28. Only highly optioned cars really weigh more.

My SS, with all options was 3550 with me in it at Englishtown, stock. I was about 190 then. So roughly, the car was 3360#'s. I believe a base t/a with 0 options is 3343.

I thought the prelude type S was in Jappan only. The only model close to that I thought was a type sh.
his brother has the Type S motor swapped into his prelude...just an extra 20hp than the SH. however all 97+ preludes had the H22 with 200hp

meant to ask u that Element, why did ur bro do a swap for a difference of only 20hp and a red valve cover?
that's the H22A right? Yea that does seem a little extreme for 20 extra horses. I would think a reworked head some new cams and a better intank would give you that and a little more without swapping and paying a crapload more. Though it would make for good car talk at events.
more or less the differences between the h22a and the type S h22 is the type s has 11.0:1 compression as opposed to 10.6 and slightly wilder cams. unless im mistaken the head is the same
he didnt do the swap it was in when he bought the car, the cobra beat me but hey its all fun, the cobra was my manager and he sucks at driving, I only want to try and beat it to make fun of his driving, because it doesnt do him any good beatting a 4 banger which is basically stock
