as long as you remember your car is lowered, either should be a fine daily driver. i ran the TRD springs for about 11 months, never had a scrape, not even on the surface streets of oakland, and it doesnt get much worse than that. i am currently down 2" on goldline springs, and while i take the entrances to parking lots and driveways at an angle, i am rarely worried that its going to drag. you should be cool with either, just gauge how you want your car to sit. s-techs drop it lower than trd.

edit : also, if you check the image gallery you just might find pics of the s-techs installed. and a quick search in the suspension and brakes forum will yield a lot of information on the different springs, coilovers, etc.. that people have been running.
What up, buttaz?

I work in Manhattan and live in Scarsdale, have the lip kit and am lowered on TRDs. You just gotta' take it easy over the rough stuff and be smart about it; don't go kamikaze over steel street plates and what not and keep a sharp eye out for big holes; you ought to be doing this anyway, regardless of drop, when it comes to driving in NYC, unless you're driving a 4Runner or something!

What up buttaz, hey bro I've got the s-techs and the drop is perfect, I don't think that the trd has a big enough drop. I think you'll be fine with the s-techs as long as you be careful when you drive. Check my pics I updated earlier today in member's ride under blacktc finally dropped
trd springs are good enough, i figure with s-techs you got to be more careful in the road. Get your self 18 inchs with trd springs and your set.
Go for TRD's. Looks nice especially with the Scion body kit, and won't bottom you out in NYC.... unless it's a really bad pothole..
Thanks guys...

I think I"m goin for TRD's... streets of manhattan n random bums on the highway is no joke for an everyday car ..

wzup eddnog... damn these city streets!

This thread reminds me of the time I test drove an Accord of the 1990-1993 variety a few years ago. It was lowered pretty far, so when I took it to a shop and had them put it on the lift, the first thing we all noticed is that the oil pan was caved in and had a drip of about 1 drop ever other minute from a little hole in the bottom. Needless to say, I didn't buy the car.

The TRD's will be your best bet with the front lip and NYC streets. You'll need to pay attention, but you won't have to lose sleep over it.

If you're gonna get TRDs go with ken because he has the cheapest price and excellent service!
yea.. get the trd.. my next purchase will be the springs.
