TRD supercharger?

3041 Views 31 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  iGod
i was thinking today, how much hp would a trd supercharger give me. Given what i have on my car + headers. I say this because this guy i know who has, i think a 96 BMW M, and he thinks he car would still smoke me even with the supercharger. So to all of the people who know what they are talking about, please help me.

the supercharger on a stock car has been dynod at 192 WHP so with i/h/e maybe 200-205. Pully swap it and get about 220ish
,then get some nice sticky tires, then get a lightwheight flywheel for better engine response, then a short or quick shifter , then get some aftermarket brand name stickers and put them on your windows for additional 5 Hp each sticker. don't forget to slant your exhaust too. thats an extra 2.
good luck bro!

or you can go get some NAAAAAAAAAAWS! naw mean?
96 BMW M what?
3 or 5
if its 5, u will lose even with the s/c
also, there is a dedicated supercharger thread pinned at the top of the engine mods forum. i think we have covered just about everything s/c related.
the M3 coupe used a 3.0-liter 24-valve DOHC inline-six-cylinder engine. This rev-happy powerplant made 240 horses at 6000 rpm, with max torque coming in at 225 lb-ft at 4250. weighing in at 3175 lbs.

i would line up my s/c tC against it.

So you think it will only give me that much, even though i do have a SS kit, Axle back which will soon be cat back, and an injen intake?

The US version of the E36 M3 was a joke. I'd put your s/c tC against it too.

The e46 is a different story, however

Your Injen intake won't fit with the supercharger, but if you could find an intake that fits to go along with the S/C, Header, full exhaust, and pully I'd bet you'd show near 250hp at the wheels.
really, thats sweet, because the time i have enough money to get a s/c i will already have the header and the s-pipe and pulley

do you know which intake will fit???
GET A ZPI TURBO. Cost $2800 and will give you 230 at the wheels.
well see, i am think of getting a s/c because i might get headers this summer. Also IF i do get a s/c it will be ing maybe 2 or 3 years, so i would like to get the headers and keep them.
pully swap is 15-20 hp and 3 or 4 psi. Hell yes 250

I'll make a dyno some time after New Year - pulley, bpv and a DIY short ram. We'll see how it compares to stock SC.
i will be right behind you, provided i get my pulley in before the new year.

Must be nice to have the money to constantly repair your car out of pocket.
