TRD muffler

Got my used TRD muffler today, and since I had to wait almost a month I just had to go ahead and install it right away.

The thing sounds surprisingly sweet for a 4-banger now. Pretty much what I was looking for - tC is too quiet stock and since I'm not a big 5-speed pro I need to be able to hear the engine. That (and the cute tip) were the only reason I got it. Oh and the fact that I can make $50 if I resell it

Not sure if the sound clips will do it justice, because out of all clips that I heard before - it is not even close to what it sounds like in real life. If people want, I can still make a short sound/vid thing.

make the vid, why not
If you make a vid/wav, don't do it in your garage.. the engine echo's out and ya can't hear the exhaust by itself.

Ticks me off that people do that.

A couple fly by's while accelerating, a downshift flyby, and maybe the same from inside the car would be cool.

I've been contemplating intake or exhaust.. can't do both right now.
I can definitely do the "inside the car vids", but fly-bys will be a bit tough - need somebody to hold the camera. Oh, and don't worry - I don't have a garage

P.S. Did you see my intake vids?

I caught them, very good....camera was very stable (on your way to work), video quality was sufficient, and the Intake sounded awsome!
Here is a vid / sound thing I promised - not much of a vid but sound is somewhat close. Shot from inside the car - half with the window down, then rolled the window up.

If you have quicktime installed, I recommend clicking the first link (or doing rightclick/save as). Both files are around 3MB.

I'll help ya out with those over the weekend.
Sounds really good, better than I expected. I still want to hear that exhaust in person, though.
Thanks for the great video. Exhaust sounds bad a$$.
I want to think it sounds close to a 1/2 of a V8 with flowmasters
As much as I am a practical freak this thing is pretty cool, especially for $200.

Not bad! Better than I thought it would sound. Any difference in the way the car accelerates now that you have it on?

Thanks!

I have a feeling (could be just that - a feeling), that RPMs drop down a little faster than before - making the shifts actually smoother. But I might be seeing things.

And you should hear it in person - much better than in the video.
