I like the sound. Nice and throaty. You have an intake also, right? I've been kicking around a complete header/high flow cat/muffler install so when it comes time to do the dreaded 'smog check' I can put the original stuff back on in one piece.

side note:
Thanks so much for making vids that accurately depict the sound of the muffler. There are so many muffler vids that just show it revving, or the car is in a garage and the sound isn't accurate. Your vids show a much more accurate representation of what it should sound like at on the street.

Hehe. Thanks for the compliments, guys

I was sick of these videos that did not give me any idea of how the car sounds, so I had to take a risk and buy the muffler before hearing it. Now that I bought it I wanted to make couplfe of vids that do the muffler some justice. Especially at idle

The idle vid was made with the intake on, the takeoff also. But flyby I think was taken before I put the intake on (it takes 3 minutes to put it on, so I can't tell which videos had it by time stamp of the camera). The in-car vid was made without intake - I personally can't tell much difference in exhaust sound, but I noticed that I don't hear the intake any more, at least not as pronounced. The guy that helped me with the vids said that it sounded much better with intake on. Dunno

MAN!!!! That's better than my porns. I gotta say that has helped me A LOT. I'm researching the tC to purchase one in about a month but the dealers around my way never have cars I can test. or listen to the audio system.
BTW, is that sound stock? I dunno too much about cars, so I'm interested in finding out what are the things I should def get from the dealer (intakes, supercharges, etc cuz i dont know how to deal with them) and things I shouldnt get like alarm, rims, audio/video (i work at best buy).

Thanks man,

Hell of a system.

excalibur, the sound in that vid is not stock. Zoltiz has the TRD muffler and in some of the vids he has a custom short ram intake also.

Hmm. The vids are labeled

Honestly, after having the muffler for 3 weeks I am completely comfortable with the sound - even at 4K rpm (80mph). I hate loud exhausts, I hate sounding faster than I am, that's why I got the TRD, plus the fact that it takes 10 minutes and 2 jackstands to swap it out and I can resell it for more than I paid for it is nice.

The in-car vid with exhaust is with stock airbox, charcoal filter removed and TRD drop-in filter. The outside vids are with the intake.

Yup, I got a fat bill for site traffic this month. I'll probably put some of the smaller vids back, though now...

Check back.

what springs do you have on there? i've always just assumed that i'll wait for someone like apex i, hks, 5zigen, or someone more japanese oriented than borla, and bosal to come out with a full catback, but after hearing that, my mind is no longer made up.
