"Yeah well i dun think the tC has much quality anyway, since it's not exactly under the branding of Toyota"

...

What the hell does that mean?

I loved the post about stomping the tC into a mudhole. Wish the Mazda3 guy that made the comment knew what gear ratios are and had enough intelligence to compare 3-digit numbers...

I love to see people who are probably 16 and therefore have NO education on the subject arguing about stuff like structural rigidity...

The cars are just fine. And there are immature owners for every car - some more than others, though - different target markets.

3s are fun little cars - I wanted a 3 hatch at one point, but Mazda dealer was a butt plus the car was still "hot" so they did not care about the sale, which made them even more of a butt. My co-worker has a 3 hatch and happy as a pig.

If I was still married (and planning for kids) Mazda 3 hatch would be the car for me, but for a single/dating dude tC makes way more sense.

I was seriously considering the mazda3s, but when I compared it to the tC with options and price, the mazda seemed to get pretty expensive.

Like others, I seriously considered the 3. For the extra 2K I would have to shell out, it would have been worth it. Leather seats, the uber headlights, and I really liked the dash layout over the tC.

But in the end, the dealer that had the car I wanted was an a$$, so I have a tC. Kind of miss the leather seats, but over all, I made the right decision. The 3 felt so dead in driving - waaay too dampened. The tC is much more enjoyable. And the MP3 player is fantastic. So what if the rear speakers are paper, love it all!

No regrets here!

So that's at least 2 people who gave up on the 3 because of butt dealers. Way to go Mazda

haha really? for me, i was about to go with an accord or a mazda3 because the scion salesperson was a jerk. with the mazda3, the salesguy called me almost every other day, telling me about the rebates and low financing they're offering, and during the test drive he was cool enough to let me really push the car. haha and the honda guy was awesome. to show me how powerful the v6 was, he took the car to like 70 on surface streets, telling me and my friend how he has hook-ups with the police, so that's the reason why he's allowed to do that, bla bla bla
. but with the scion salesguy, he prolly couldve cared less whether i bought one or not, since there were 30+ other people in line waiting for one. i went to that particular dealership twice for a test drive, after i had scheduled one and after they told me that the car was available. and both times when i got there, the car wasnt available. annoying but whatever. decided to get the tC anyway, and it was a great decision.

SORRY FOR THE LONG POST.

I REALLY WISH THE MAZDA3FORUM WAS BACK UP SO THAT THE REST OF YOU GUYS CAN READ AND HAVE A GOOD LAUGH AT HOW STUPID SOME OF THESE PEOPLE ARE. ILL LET YOU GUYS KNOW WHEN THE SITE IS BACK UP. LATE

I thought the 3 was overpriced, not nearly as attractive as the tC, and too much of a Ford.

With all the issues I've had with trying to get my hands on the tC...if I have one more problem with the tC my family and friends have already told me that I have to buy something else. So, I've decided to keep them in the dark because I REALLY want this car. I wrote out my whole sob story in the tC talk area about "is the wait killing you?" or something like that.

oh, I got onto the mz3 site no problems...I agree with the fact that there are some immature people on every site, but that one seems saturated with them.

yeah, I just finished reading all the posts on that thread, and lemme tell you, there are some dumbasses out there. People make the most rediculous speculations, state opinion as it was a fact, flame uncontrollably and ignore all logic and reason. Makes me proud to be a member here. :c)

A) Ford product (owned a 67 mustang (the peach) and 89 Escort GT( the pits)
B) Car and driver really liked the 3, but it's over 20,000 for a comfortably equipped car.

The tC is out of the box comfortably equipped.

PS. I like the 6 better than the 3 anyway.

As far as salesmen, find a good dealer and you'll find good salespeople (I am using carsdirect and so far the dealership is very attentive to what I'm looking for)
