i think there may be a way around that through the CUDL system. i am sure it is going to be a bank to bank thing. try it and see. I know I am going to try to roll the s/c into financing for people.

Hmm... Well then... how can a dealership put on the TRD Exhaust and put that into the cost of the car as well? Or do they not do that?...

The PANT indicates that it is strictly not allowed that the supercharger be financed with the vehicle; I am unsure what happens to the people who already did this before the release of the supercharger, though.

Btw I saw the PANT myself and the dealer cost as indicated on it is...

Maybe I better leave it to someone who actually works for a dealer to say that. I don't want to get in trouble for it. Suffice it to say, TRD Sparks is offering an extremely good price!

I'd really like to know what the deal is with this because I am hearing different stories. Theres a thread on scionlife ( I just read it but now I cant find it.....drats! its the guy with the video of the dyno'd Rs1.0 with an SC getting 192whp) that states that he financed the SC way before it even came out!!! and when it was time to get the thing installed they actually credited his account because they were over-charging a by $1k!!!! So..... My best friend is getting ready to buy a ride. He really wants to get a TC but its come down to that or a civic si. He said if he can get the SC financed he will go with that.....if not ...the Si. There was a gentleman in that thred that also was saying that stuff like this is really up to the dealers discretion.
......but I'd really like to know what Toyota Finacial Corporation (TFS) thinks of all this. So is it possble to have financing from another company (in essence having a blank check) and then throw the SC on on there at the time of purchase?? thats would seem to be ok.....?

When I bought my tC, they asked me if i wanted to continue the order with the TRD springs, Short shifter, and Super charger. I had the car ordered, but they had to order those (TRD Items) seperatley. I'm not sure if they would have added it in to my total; but I said forget it because they wanted to charge 600 bucks for installing the super charger; and 800 bucks for installing the springs. I said I'd order form them later on and get them installed somewhere else or something. Oh and for the super charger, it wasn't out yet but I coudl still order it; but I decided not to; more payments wasn't what I needed at that time. Also the guy told me it would probably be better to wiat for it anyway. So, I was like,"you're the boss." B.T.W. I still havent ordered any other TRD things..haha I just ordered a TWM shortshifter; and might get another brand of springs. As for the super charger... I'll wait and see how people's reactions to it are; to see if it is really worth it (the money).

I got my TRD exhaust financed with the car. If you get your financing from another bank and you are basically buying the car cash... I don't see why you can't pay for the car and the SC with one bank check... Just as long as the dealer can seperate the funds to pay TRD and Labor to the service dept. This is all speculation of course.

I say no such thing. This hasn't really been talked about so don't put words into my mouth. Ever.

If you get an accessory book from your dealer you will read on the back that the supercharger CAN NOT be financed with the purchase of the car.

moriarty summed it up best we can. here it is.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The tC Supercharger is an aftermarket accessory and has aftermarket emission certification. Because of that there are some important restrictions you should be aware of shown below.

The tC Spercharger System is to sold/purchased only as a dealer installed or over-the-counter option, after the initial retail sale of the vehicle. The supercharger may not be sold/purchased at the same time as the new vehicle and may not be financed together with the new vehicle.

have fun and good luck. I also know why you can only purchase the s/c after the time of purchase. It costs $1,000,000 to certify a car with a s/c and $30,000 to certify a car with a s/c as an aftermarket accessory. That cost would have to be passed onto the consumer in the price of the s/c.
