That's crazy.... I have the same amp pushing a 15" Rockford Punch on 8ga wires... maybe you should turn the gain down just a bit, leave the stereo settings on xA - Hear, with the volume no more than 40-45. This is where I have my settings with no problems.... that's why I am getting another gm-x862 amp for my system I am putting together
