So I'm trading in the TC

To each his own. Anyway, keep us posted on what you think of the Redline. I'm curious to see how they are for daily driving, as opposed to performance, which seems to be pretty good.

Two weeks ago I took a trip that was 13 hours over two day. I found the seats to be very comfortable. I just set the cruise control at 85 sat back and turned on the xm radio.

i find the seats very comfortable (although i disklike how they dont hold me either) and the car was great on my 22hr road trip...but im prob trading my tc in for something faster....it just doesnt perform up to my standards

Costs less to put on a turbo that take a trade in hit

Anyway, hope you like your new car and get a good price for the tC.

i fully agree with raamaudio. The car is perfect for a turbo. There are something i dont like about the car, but i love the look i can exchange that for nothing on the market for that kind of money.

that is why you wait for the TRD turbo.

TRD supercharger is in the works.

I guess it's obvious why I still own a Supra. No the tC isn't a Supra, but guess what? You'll miss a few things about the tC when you decide you "have to have" more for your daily driver. The first is running on cheap gas. The second is surprising performance for the dollar spent.

Last but not least, you could only be saying the car doesn't perform because you are still on the stock rubber. You have no idea what the car will really do, trust me.

Expect to have a significantly higher total cost of ownership with whatever you purchase. Hope you like the Saturn, my experience with them has been mixed, but far too many failures of common parts (like a TSB for fuel pumps) keeps me away from them.

I'd have to agree with lo bux, I just recently upgraded the tires to BFGoodrich g-force sport's and all I have to say is.... WOW! Ride quality is a hell of a lot better than with the stock tires, handling is a hell of a lot better, and I don't freak out during the freak rainstorms that are quite commonplace in the south!

When I first got the tC I went on a roadtrip from Alabama to Oklahoma (turned out to be a bad idea due to other reasons), and I'd have to say I enjoyed it. While driving at a higher RPM in 5th gear is kinda annoying, it's a lot better on long trips than the Rav4 (but not as good as the 97 Avalon XLS, that's just a friggin land yacht). Personally when I drove the redline it just didn't do it for me. As I said, g'luck with the redline!

Got a lotta money for apex seals? LOTS of Supra owners were former FD owners. Don't get me wrong, when they run, they are really great cars. Light, good power, very fun to drive; but oh those fragile apex seals. Bryce Danna (first 900+ hp street Supra with HKS T-51 Kai) went through three engines without mods before he gave up on them.

The slightest hint of detonation and you're looking at a new engine. Good luck. You'd be way better off with a 3000GT VR-4 or Dodge Stealth. Cheap, fast (sadly heavy), reasonably reliable. Even an NA Supra with a TT swap would be a better choice IMHO.

i would LOVE a supra...it has been my dream car since they came out...however I cant find a decent MKIV within my price range. i'm seeing FDs with fresh motors and I'll prob take my chances...but I have absolutely no desire for a 3000GT, I would probably go after a Z32 300ZX beofre that.
