Sideskirt Removal

How do you remove the sideskirts? I think you have to unscrew a screw on each side and then pop the sideskirts out of the pins. Anyone done this? Tips will be appreciated.

DUDE TODAY I HIT A CURB AND IT SCRAPED MY STOCK SIDE SKIRT. THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THAT THE SCRAPE IS UNDER THE SIDE SKIRT SO ITS NOT VISIBLE...

DO U KNO HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO BUY A BRAND NEW STOCK SIDE SKIRT?

OR SHOULD I REPAINT THE DAMN THING PROFESSIONALLY?? IM PISSED...
First of all, turn off caps lock or let go of the shift key.

Why ask the same question in this post that you asked in the post you made TWO MINUTES before replying here?

Sorry that that was no help to you shinkuu.
there is a screw in each wheel well, if i remember right, the fasteners that hold the side skirt on along the car will have to be pried out, use a flat heat and pry out the center piece, then the fastener should come right off, do not try and pry out the whole fastener, just the little center piece, that will losen the barbs that are on it and it should come right off, i might of missed a few steps, but that is basically it, i scraped up my skirt and had to do the same thing, i found a deal though, 125 shipped for BOTH side skirts, painted, and to top it off, i only asked for one side, when i got it from ups, i had both, but i just got lucky
garrett, i can send you a pdf if you need it.
Where did you order the sideskirt from? I ran over a rock and it ripped mine :( If I were to search it on google, what am I searching for? When I look for 2008 Scion TC sideskirts, I come upon a lot of rice-y looking ones. I prefer the ones it came with but I don't know how to find it. Thanks in advance.

2. Try "Scion tC OEM Sideskirts" or go to trdsparks.com
Is this the right part?

tC Ground Effects - Left Side, Primered at Sparks Toyota-Scion, Myrtle Beach, SC

And what am I supposed to do about painting it? Do I just go to Autozone or something and find paint for it? What kind of paint am I supposed to use?

I'm sorry for being such a bother, but I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing.
That's the lip from the OEM Ground Effects package. If you don't have the front/rear lip and other side skirt, it's going to look a little out of place.

If you want a good finish, have a shop paint it. Get several quotes before you do so.
Technically it's possible that you can get the same finish with a rattle-can. But you'd have to be very good at it. And even then the paint probably wouldn't match.

Try junkyards.
