Offset; how far the mounting point of the wheel is from the center line of the rim. Stock 17" wheel offset of tC is +45mm from the centerline; a +35mm wheel will be 10mm farther out from the car, assuming the same width of the rim as stock (7.0"). A +50mm wheel would sit 5mm farther in, again, assuming same width as stock. Width of the rim affects how far from this imaginary center line the wheel actually sticks out on each side, so an 8" wheel would stick half an inch farther in and farther out than a 7" wheel with identical offset.

These are pretty nice looking; I had thought about them for a minute when I was shopping wheels, but I am not a big fan of wheels with large, lug-hiding center caps since my dad used to have Enkeis with center caps like this and they constantly would...disappear.

Also what about rubbing when lowered?

Go with the +42 to be safe if you're doing 245-series tires on those bad boys when lowered.

Fitment first, finish second. Get the one that fits; if both fit, then I say for your car (same color as mine) go with the darker color--but this is just my opinion, and in the end it's your car, so it really should be noone's choice but yours.

If you do +35 you would be cutting it pretty close with 245s on your lowered ride (assuming you go for the 8" wide rims). You probably won't be able to get away with a change of brakes (not sure if you even care), since many big brake kits push the wheels farther out (I know my Wilwood kit did, which cut down my choice of wheels/tire widths & offsets).

Good series for 7.5" width rim is 225; 235s come in a larger overall diameter than we'd like for our cars, so speedo would be off and the resulting gear ratio would be slightly lower, retarding acceleration but smoothing out the drive at highway cruise speed (both effects fairly minor, but still there). It's not too great an idea to squeeze 245s onto 7.5"--doable, but it wouldn't handle as well as the same tires on an 8.0" rim.
