Scratches on my hatch!

On the day I picked up my car, I noticed a line going across the back part of my car (part on the paint... most on the glass). I asked the dealer about it and he said that oh... thats glue... the residue stuff from the plastic wrap they used to wrap your car during transit. He said that it would come off after a couple washes.... so I didn't pay much attention to them.

I have been trying to remove the marks for the past 2 weeks that I've had the car. Finally last week when my baby was in the shop, I asked them to remove the one on the paint because it was very noticeable and the mark wouldn't even budge when I try to rub it off with my towel. They were able to do it ... but there is still a small mark... not very noticable.

Then tonight... I hand washed my car for the first time and noticed that the line that runs across my hatch looks like scratches. Two small scratches (one on each side of the hatch) that line up perfectly with the mark on the paint. I asked my brother for his advice and he said we would know if it was glue or not by using the goo be gone stuff. We tried and nothing came off... the mark is still there.
He said that they were actually scratches because you could see on one of them the pressure point break into the glass. When I looked closely, I thought he was right.

Anyways, I left a message with my dealer right after. Since he is not in today, I won't get any answer until tomorrow. I just want to ask you guys whether I should have them replace the entire piece of glass or is there a safe way to fix the scratches.

Here's a picture of the scratch I took last weekend...

that stinks. I definitely don't think that they'll replace the entire hatch, b/c there's really not that much damage. There are scratch removal products out there, and i'm sure your dealer will be able to fix this problem one way or other. Don't fret, this stuff's gonna happen sooner or later.

Thats true... I wish I could not fret... but everything added up together is making me kinda upset. First they drilled holes on my bumper... now this. To make matters worse, my fiance's back windows (both of them) are also scratched. His scratches are more noticeable... and larger... but they are on the inside. I don't know whats going on here...
??? Thats so weird. You should grill your dealer till they fix this bs!
Guys... Gals... do you know of anyway to safely fix a scratched window???
there is no way, that I know of at least, to repair or fix a scratched window or glass of any kind. The problem you run into in this situation is its hard to tell or prove that these things happened before you took delivery of the car. Good luck with this, and let us know how it all turns out!

Well lucky for me... I pointed out the lines and the mark on the back of my car when I inspected it with the salesman... he was the one who told me not to worry cause it will wash out. The line originally went all the way across the back of the window... I was able to rub some of it off towards the middle of the hatch. These three marks (1 mark & 2 scratches) remained.
