Well this is just a heads up....
So I purchased the install kit from Crutchfield for the tC (TOYK969). I recieved my first kit, and none of the brackets seemed to fit. On top of that it didn't have instructions for the tC, just the xA/xB. However, this is the kit that many have stated that they have used. Well to make a long story short, I modded the factory brackets, drilled holes, heated some plastic to make adapter plates, got a little epoxy and a couple of screws, and bam I made the kit work with the factory brackets.
Well I decided to follow up, so I complained to crutchfield. Well the rep that I dealt with had the tech guys try the kit in one of their cars and he stated it worked fine, yadda yadda. Well I couldn't understand it, but the rep sent me a new kit free of charge. Low and behold the brackets that I needed were in that kit, but not the one I got originally sent. Moral of the story, if yours is missing brackets just call and get a new kit and save yourself the hours of work I wasted.
