Hmm. With parking lights or headlights turned on - try turning the instrument cluster intensity light knob (somewhere on the left of the instrument cluster I think). Turn it up and see if the HU buttons light up. If not - ask the dealer - it can be a fuse (maybe not).

Changes colors? You mean intensity? And you mean instrument cluster - like speedo, tach, etc? This lights up and is bright, but headunit buttons are dark?

Ok, let me try to ask my question one last time. Did you try playing with INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIGHTING INTENSITY KNOB when your parking lights/headlights are on?
