Now i was thinking...when i originally bought the car, i really needed a car at the moment, so i was stuck getting the only tC they had on the lot. This was an auto that i've got right now. My question is, if i go to the dealer, saying that I'll trade in my tC for another used '05 manual (with roughly the same amount of miles on it) if they've got one availible, do you think they would just let me "trade" so to speak, without losing a ton of money on this? Any feedback or suggestions would be great....thanks guys!

Dought they would do that at all but go and ask them what they would say. If they say yes get it on paper so when you go back and they allow it they cant screw you.

When they sell used TCs they up the price on them so i doubt that you would get away with paying nothing, at least around where i live thats what they do.

That would be a rare deal. It doesn't hurt to ask, but I seriously doubt you will succeed with no additional money.

He can try to play on "well, my auto will be easier for you to sell than this 5-speed", and difference in miles if there is any. Oh, and having your car immaculately detailed also helps. But in the end it all comes down to negotiation skills

What are the chances the dealership even has a used tC?
They don't have to "pure price" it, so it might cost same as new one (in hopes of getting an impatient buyer), and that way it might linger on the lot a bit. So "chance" is always there. Very slim, though.
