Ha ha what are you paying?? 2 15 is pretty high!
$2.39 for 87... and much more for the other stuff...
ouch on the gas prices.. its $2.02 for supreme here $1.99 in cherry hill, NJ... after i move down to DC though... im gonna feel the gas price hike for sure
Apparently San Diego has the highest gas prices in the nation. When it went over 2 bucks... i gave up. I'll pay whatever now.
ouch... my pockets are not that deep .. i'd walk before i paid $40 to fill up my tank
I got no choice... I gotta drive... at least I get to enjoy my car when I drive...

Gas is around 1.90$ here in ol' Dorothy land. I couldn't imagine what...2.50? 3? Switch to a 10-spd at that point ;-)
1.84 today in Kentucky.... yeah its Kentucky...
$1.81 here, plus I can probably get it cheaper at BJ's or Sams with a card. Plus I use up about a tank a month. Glad I got a tC

Used to drive 30K/year on premium in my Matrix...

Cheaper with BJ's? Yah, you're probably right...

It's a $1.80 here in P'cola Fl if I'm not mistaken for 87.

I don't think you'll better mileage or anything for that matter by using the 89 gas, but great if you do

You use a tank of gas a month?? Wow!! I wish I could do that. I have to fill up 2-3 times a week. I paid $1.87 for gas yesterday.

I've used 89 before because they were out of 87 and I was running low and it didn't do anything to the gas milage, which stayed about the same.
Most cars have nothing to gain from the higher octane fuels. Based on the owner's manual, the tC is probably one of them...

I think that award goes to the bay area. San Francisco gas prices are unbelievable.
well u dont gain mileage on the higher octane.. but what about power, smoothness and overall engine life?

You might get couple of hp in a tank or two after you reset the ECU - it will advance the timing till the knocking begins, and obviously with higher octane you will get knocking later than with lower octane.

Engine life? Probably not. Smoothness? If you don't get the knock now, then there is nothing to fix with higher octane.

On the other hand my jeep used to knock severely on 87 when going uphill. 89 was perfect for it, though the manual stated 87...
Just hit $2.01 a galon for 87 here in the Harrisburg area (PA) I still drive to work on some days, but on others when i got nearly 50mile round trip I am forced to take my fiencees civic.

I almost have my friend convinced to convert his talon to ethanol. Mmm free fuel, and it'll get you sh!t faced too!
interesting...
If filling up with 89 or 91 gives you happiness, go right ahead. You wont see a difference though besides a thinner wallet.

Zoltiz, 1 month fill-ups? You're full of crap, and I'll tell that to your face next time I see you.
