Hey guys, I was wondering why toyota woun't install anything larger than a 225/40 18 on my super sevens. And if I go somewere eles will this void my warranty? I want to get 245/40 zr 18's.

That is something I'm debating now, but with 17s.

I confirmed today that VW puts 225/45/17 on a 17x7 rim on Jettas, so I guess it's not that much of a crime.

No it won't void your warranty, but Ryan you need 245/35/18 not 245/40/18. The 40's will be way too big.

A 225/45/17 likes a 7.5" rim, but 7.0 is acceptable.

Any 245/xx/18 wants an 8.5" rim. Always check the magic chart at Toyo tire or the Tirerack. The manufacturers tell you what is good and what isn't.

Was it you lance that put 245 on your ride? Or has anybody eles done this?

Yes, Lance put 245s on his tC but not on stock tires.

I think you mean stock rims. Yes, I have 8.5 rims and 245/40/17s. They seriously rock.
