hello everyone I have a 2008 tc 5 speed with around 185k miles. Every time I brake somewhat hard the oil light comes on and then goes away. Not sure if it’s the oil pump going out or what. Wondering if I’m the

I would guess all the oil is sliding forward and not being caught by the pump. I've had a tC since 2008 and have never had this happen. You might want to drop the oil pan and make sure it is clean of any sludge or debris. Also check your oil at every fill-up to make sure it's not low.

Make sure it has oil. I know it sounds silly, but it normally means your dipstick is dry. Remember, if the oil ring service was not done, it will burn a LOT of oil. Mine burns through almost 5 quarts between each 3k mile oil change. Make it a habit of popping that hood every Friday or Monday or whenever, checking oil, water, coolant, break, steering, transmission, anything and everything that can be filled should be filled.
