That's still really wide. The tire bible says if your Speedo is reading 70, you're actually goin 72.

That plus, 235/45R17's are for 17x8s to 17x9.5s according to the tire bible

225 will work... it will bulge outwards but it will work. I'd only feel safe using the correct size tire.

Stock 215's seem to curve inward. The Avon Tech M550 215's I have are a straight sidewall.
