ok i bought my new TRD exhaust from a fellow member (Geneo, great guy) and it was used but in better than great condition and the next day i put it on. it took all of 5 minutes to do the total install. removal of stock exhaust and installation of the TRD. everything was that quick and easy. the hardest part was getting my car lined up on the lift when i pulled in, if u can call that hard. sounds wonderful. not super loud but not too quiet. nice growl for the Tom Cat. the B&M shifter was more time consuming but mainly cuz i didnt want to use the cut off tool like they say in the manual. eventually i gave up and used it since i didnt want to melt away the plastic on the cage using the grinder, which was starting to happen. my boy stabbed himself in the hand pretty deep tring to get that little ring off. the one the cut-off tool is needed for. WHAT THE HELL IS IT MADE OUT OF!? Black Box material? why did it need to be THAT strong of a metal? outragious. things like this must be why Japanese cars hold up so long. anyway the B&M feels WWWWWOnderful. the way the car SHOULD have felt from the dealer. no longer do i have a sloppy misguiding shift pattern. the throws are much shorter, especially all the back throws, 2nd,4th, reverse. my boy was laughing at me cuz i freaking lubed that shifter till it was covered in the white Lubricant and was making inappropriate jokes accordingly.
but i tell u what. its smooth as hell in motion

oh and one more thing. you DONT have to take aloose all the shifter cables. twisting this and loosening that. just take off the cable on the far left of that T joint and the one at the very bottom inside the cage.

Now to get a less gay Shift knob. i hate that stocker. its sooo.......cheap and dumb looking.

Congrats, i was gona get the twm stage 2 but now im waiting for this *mysterious* short shifter thats suppose to be coming out.
the one lo bux mentioned?

acrimoniousbear, whatever you do, don't get a metal shift knob. it looks like you have a pretty dark car anyway (FM)

i've had bad experiences with metal shift knobs
for my black 240, during the blazing hot summer down here, i got into the car after school (i couldn't even breathe in it for one) and as soon as i started the car and touched the shifter, i burned my hand on it #@[email protected] and it wasn't even the entire shift knob that was metal either :/

Yea, the one lo bux mentioned.
You won't regret the wait. It's well worth it.
i don't think any of us are in a hurry to get a short shifter. did you say 2-3 weeks?
That's what I've been told. BTW, I cut the retainer clip off with a hacksaw. Took all of 2 minutes. I don't understand why you guys want to fight with these things when the instructions are pretty clear. Sorry about the injury, it should not have happened.
what is the mysterious short shifter?

Yeah Donna i was already thinking that. we have hellish summers here. the humidity makes it so much worse than it needs to be. but i have experienced heat with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns when i open the door to my car. and for that reason i was trying to avoid metal. i like the way those MOMO tomahawks look tho. HEY anybody have any suggestions on a nice shifter with minimal or no metal. MOMO shifters almost cost the price of your first born son, even tho they look great. i want sum blue in my shifter too tho. im stuck.

your VERY right it shouldnt have happend. i agree totally. i told my friend "hey ur spose to use a cut off tool." he says, "Oh we dont have too, they're just saying that." i hounded him about it for the entire 10 minutes he struggled with it. untill he got pissed 5 minutes into it cuz he stabbed the hell outta himself. then he got quiet and continued. so i said "hey whenever ur ready we can use the cut off tool.
" he'll heal.

Lo Bux, ur making me feel bad cuz i just got this shifter and now this magical mystery shifter is coming out. how could u do this to me? im hurt.
guess it sucks to be me. ...........even tho i love my shifter now.

HEY IM A GURU NOW! HOW COOL AM I!!!!!!11!1one!1!
I have knowledge of said mystery shifter, and you won't be disappointed! If I didn't have the TWM already I would consider nabbing this one.
I have been considering a shifter and I would like to get all the information currently available on it. Is this a toyota piece like the TRD unit or is it made by an aftermarket company or by a lonely little person in their little workshop? I was seriously considering the b&m. Please give any info.
It's professionally made and will be distributed by TRD Sparks. It really is worth the wait.
For less than a bill and considering how impressed you seem to be with it, I'll wait for it. Hopefully it looks pretty stock. I don't want some silly looking boy racer piece in my car.
Indistinguishable from stock until you use it. Not a riceboy mod at all.

Beautiful.
Sold.
Just got the TRD kit on the other day.

Got ripped off from the dealer gettin' it on....but it's on

Huge increase and really smooth shifts...

I used to have an Integra with a DC Sports Kit and it was nothing like the TRD.
