New to the family
Bought my tC yesterday and lovin it. Had a truck broken in to next to my car... I was reading on one of the stickies about the tint holding the window together yeah... exactly what happened the whole thing fell out and it was actually about an inch under my car. Mine is FM so it freaked me the F*ck out cause the glass on the ground looked like the same color as my car so i thought the guy had hit my car and ripped off a chunk. Unfortunately it did scratch the bottom a little bit which i was SUPER pissed off about because the car has like 50 miles on it... 3-4 months from now sure whatever it's hardly noticeable but my second day? Jesus christ come on people!
Anyway, I need some help... I was reading that sticky post and read about the whole tint thing. Well I'm taking my car to get tinted on monday and I just wanna know what you guys recommend on tint that is still good and looks clean but not too dark. When I had my civic before this car it was 10 on the back and quarter and 15 on the sides, granted I don't keep anything in my car and never had a problem I still don't want to run into any problems. The place I work at is actually a nicer part of town but for some reason there are chain break-in's all the time. More on the tint darkness I actually couldn't stand having 10 on the back after I got it because you really can't see a damn thing a night time.
BTW, keep in mind I live in Houston, TX so... we're tryin to keep some heat out.
Few noobie questions:
Can you open the trunk from the inside? If so WHERE?
I saw someone say they installed amber lights on the cup holders.. anyone know more about that?
Also I saw a few pics online of chrome pedals that seemed to fit perfect with the stock stuff; anyone have any links? I know on the scion site they use OBX which is like 80 bucks but 40 on ebay.
And of course if anyone has any recommendations for the whole tint thing I would appreciate it.

I'm in Dallas, and I also have an FM. I got 35% all around. Helps with the sun/heat during the day, and isn't too dark to see out of at night ... but no one can see in at night either, which I liked.
I can't speak to the amber lights, not my bag.
As for pedals (or any other accesory offered by a dealership), I would suggest Sparks Toyota. Much cheaper than the average dealership, lightning fast shipping, & fantastic customer service.

one of the available options is under dash/cup holder LED's. they come in blue or amber.

door sills are super freakin easy. pull up on one end of the stock ones, and the clips will pop right out. the new ones are a combo of a couple guide pins and 3M double stick stuff all around. make sure the surface and clean and cool, and you have it lined up right, bfore you stick it in place. 7 minutes.
there is an emergency latch to open the rear hatch. but, nothing for normal ops.
How about the sport pedals? Are they just like covers?
