well i finally did it i went from this...

to this...

so yea the box is huge, but it sounds amazing, so much deeper at low volumes, the design on the front was something i decided to do last minute, but i really like it and it makes the box more significant, now i just have to clean up around the design where some of the glue came throught the carpet (as you can see)

Impressive, I like it!!! What is the design for? Does it stand for something?
the middle is from the tattoo i have on my arm, which i also drew...my original intent was to use the tC emblem but my girlfriend convinced me that since i spent so much time on the box and wanted it to be unique, then i should make it personal, and since my tattoo is a tribal design i thought it would be cool to carry over into my box design...thanks for the compliments/interest....

oh and the middle is an "m" for my name...matt...lol
really nice box man, talk about no trunk space though, that is why I sized down so that I could have some of that back.

Where's the amp?
under the carpet next to the spare tire
You have no cooling fan down there? Im currently building a mdf box to house the amp in down in that area, and i ordered a fan, but im wondering if i need it.
yeah i went on a 4 hour road trip, music on whole time (pretty loud too) and i cheked the amp when i got home, it was hot, but nothing unusual considering the circumstances

btw. my amp is a fosgate 1001bd w/ no cooling fan on the amp itself
I am literally amazed, i used to have a 300rms x 1 @ 2ohms Rockford Power, same style amp as yours (i found the pic). It would overheat if it ran for more than like an hour. It was even in the trunk of my cadillac in open air (a lot of air, it was a caddy). Maybe ill try no fan first, thanks for the info!
yeah no prob, hope it goes well, show some pics when ur done i would love to see it
Will do, amp shows up thursday, hopefully i can have it all in by the weekend.
I agree box absolutely looks and fits better, Its just ashame you have no trunk space, and that extra weight must really cauze your nose to lift when you launch it. My two audiobahn 10s in a smaller sealed custom box are heavy enough to cauze this so I'm sure you know what I mean. Just one question...are you planning on competing SPL, or are you just a BASS FIEND, because as I've been telling people, you really dont need (to spend) that much to have a nice system. Probably one L7 would be enough to provide bass in any tc, unless you're planning on competing

well i never really considered spl ( i guess i just i never thought i could compare to some of the competetion and i have no idea if i could hang) music is my life so bass fiend is accepted and appreciated

btw, one solo is definately enough, thats what i had before i added another, one solo in a vented box would be perfect, maybe even too much for the average listener

okay so i have had that box for about two weeks and i must say it was LOUD, but it just seemed that the car is too small to be moving around so much air, so i removed one of the subs, took out the wall that separated the two subs, built a cover to and a vented inlet, and sealed it down.....so now i have a HUGE vented box with 1 single 12" L7 solobaric, and the sound is SOOOOO much better, sucha a tighter and cleaner bass, i added that polyfil stuff and it cleaned up the sound just a bit more......just figured i would keep u guys up to date
Cool, i think you could build a different box for just one, something that takes up less room. I know this is just like throwing away that pretty box though

Soundguy50, you were a lot gentler than i would have been.

How many cubic feet you got now for the box?
UPDATE:

OKay so the HUGE, vented box is great, but there were times i just missed the added air movement of the second L7, so my solution, seeing as i do not use my trunk ever, nor do i use the backseat except to throw a person or some crap into everyonce in a while.....i took one of the small sealed boxes that i originally had in my old setup, and i have placed it on the now folded down seat behind the driver. I must say it is now perfect. if i ever need to seat 5 instead of 4, i can take 30 seconds and the box is out....it sounds great, and i no longer have a sub lying around my house not being used...

kinda bizarre to see both a sealed and ported box in the same car, but it sounds glorious....im sure someone will have something to say about this, so feel free and critique away.
