My First Dent!

I always wash my car by hand. But today I was in a hurry and ran it thru the car wash. Big mistake. I figured it was one of those hand wash jobs and it would be OK.

The two girls washing my car were using those wash brushes attached to a long handle. Well the one girl was in such a hurry, she smacked the darn wash brush right down on the pass A pillar. Once I got thru the wash i got out to look and sure enough, a nice little ding about 1/3 the way up the A pillar.

Had to fill out a damage report. The owner is supposed to call me Monday. Sure hope he owns up and fixes it for me!!! It really bummed me out.

I really baby my car, always park in BFE. Washed and waxed weekly, etc. I know it was an accident, but she really should be more careful.

ouch! that sucks!

I've been told that in France, when you buy a new car, they take a golden hammer and put the first dent in... to get it out of the way... I doubt that will make you feel better, but I thought it was interesting...

That sucks dude... thats why i would never take it to a carwash that requires touching. I've only taken my care to the carwash once and that is only because its one of those touch free carwashes.
Anways... I hope everything works out for ya!

Sorry to hear it, Greg. Hopefully they take care of it for you.

LMFAO!! Maybe I could negotiate that into the deal, hehe. I sure would get more satisfaction out of it. Thanx for the laugh.
It sounds like a small enough dent that a paintless dent removal place can take care of it for cheap. The owner of the car wash will probably pay up just to get you out of his hair.
Yeah... I agree with Pete... if its a reputable company, they'd rather settle with you and have you happy than risk having their reputation tainted with something like this. Accidents happen.. but that kind of thing can be soo easily avoided. I think she should get fired... AFTER you get to whack both her and her car (whatever it may be) with that brush thing... THEN they should pay for you to get your car fixed and find you a female "escort" that should live in your car and take care of you while you drive.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that is something to negotiate!! Im not saying that she should be fired, but what I am saying if you whack her with the brush I can pretty much guarantee that she will be more careful next time with that brush, and worse case scenario it may take a couple whacks before she is reformed:)
