well, i don't post very much here but i thought you guys might want to hear about this one. On Dec. 30th the Guam Dragstrip is going to have a free grudge racing event. so me and my buddy in his tC decided that we would duke it out there legally and get it on vid. I'm still bone stock and intend to be for this race, he has Injen CAI, Megan Racing Header, and Injen Exhaust. He also ordered an S-pipe but we don't know if it'll make it here in time for the Big Event. Here is the link if anyone would like to keep up with it on our local forum: http://www.forum.dragguam.com/viewtopic.php?t=5561

anyways, i'll post the results and the vid after the 30th. i'm curious as to what you guys' opinion is on what will happen. what do you guys think the outcome will be? by the way, this site is a great site and very informative. i intend to keep this thread informative and not bash on either car. so please keep the bashing out of it. the "#### talk" on our local forum is nothing to be concerned about. me and my buddy are best friends and that's just what we do on the local forum. "#### talk".

both cars are manual and the specs you listed are for the new 2006 ralliarts. they weigh a bit more than the 2005 model like mine. mine weighs in at 2843. i'm a little heavier than he is, i'm not fat or anything just he's a smaller guy than me, but with me in mine, and him in his, my car comes out with less weight. but with those aftermarket goodies, i'm guessing he's dropped a few pounds and it might be about even now. anyways, we know it'll prob. come down to a driver's race. but what car do you THINK would win. i mean, all things being equal. at least what car do you think has the edge. keep in mind the whp these cars put out.

ok, so far we got the ralliart with 3 votes and the tC with 1 vote. looks like the tC is gonna be the underdog on this forum. we'll see on race day!!!

EDIT: i added a poll so i don't have to keep up with votes. the poll will last thru race day and then close.

i'm not really sure what to say about your post except that maybe your auto tranny has way better gearing or that the auto ralliart is just a dog because of way less power output. other than that, that was not the outcome when i raced him and he was stock. anyways, here's an update on the polls for you guys:

tc-(50)
RA-(29)

looks like i've gained a few votes on him but nothing close to his vote count. i'll keep you updated and thanks for the replies!!!

excuses excuses. i pulled on him everytime, i wasn't going to say anything about it. but since it's been brought up now, we did 4 races from a 20 roll. i pulled him everytime. we would stop a little past 90. he was pullin back in 4th. but what's the point of racing past 90/100 if you don't even trap that in the 1320? we went from a stop once and i got him on the launch but he just about threw 2nd gear outta the tranny. at least that's what it sounded like. lol. anyways, the track is legit and will be on vid. we will edit the vid and make it pretty bad ass. just wait till race day. it's only a week and a half away now.

i was at 90. maybe you weren't, but i was. maybe that's why i was in front of you. i know i was in 4th and was in it longer than i usually am when racing down the 1320. i barely get into 4th at the strip. but i was over 90 several of those times that night.

ok, i'm not going to get in to this whole little war about my car is better than yours. both the ralliart and the tC are in the same class of cars. my car is still bone stock and i bet you all my money that i run really close to a mid 15 this time out. and that is close to .5 sec slower than what i would run in the states. i have seen stock ralliarts run on AVERAGE of 15.3/15.4 and i've seen a stock ralliart with better tires than these ####ty goodyear eagle rs-a's all seasons break into the 14's stock. call bs if you want but the car can do it. my car is equal to the spec-v. that's a drivers race stock. i'm not trying to brag, but i walk away from stock tc's rather easily. maybe they don't know how to drive, but that would make a lot of people on this island bad drivers cause there is a whole lot of tc's.

anyways, our track is also unprepped. no vht. so launching on street tires really is an art. i'm getting pretty good at it but injen tc is still learning. it will be a really good race, i can promise you that.

blue tc or whatever your name is, i'm from sc and i leave here in aug. when i get back i will be more than happy to race your tc and you can even take a picture of my altezzas as walk away from you. lol. i'm not trying to start anything, just making a comeback. lol. anyways, i'm at work so i gotta go.

well, the car is underrated so it has more like 170+ hp at the crank, and it weighs less than 2900lbs. keep trying, you guys haven't been able to get the hp and weight of my car right yet.

put it this way, i put out a little more than 10 hp @ the wheels than a tc and i weigh like 100lbs less, that might explain why i don't have a problem beating up on stock tc's. injen tc has been the only tc that has even come close to hangin with me. and i still pulled. so you guys do the math. i'm gonna see if my friends slicks fit my car also and if they do, i'm gonna try for 14's while my car is still stock. i know that if i can cut a 1.8/1.9 60ft. that a 14sec quarter mile will happen. if you don't believe me, that would make 2 things that i have to prove, that i can beat his modded tc and that a stock Ralliart can run 14s.

by the way, here is the poll count for today, it's thursday now here in guam:

tc-61
RA-41

he still has me by 20 votes. but some how i have earned a little respect from some people.

heated? na, we've been friends since we got here in guam. we are just trying to make this kind of a big event so that more people will be interested in stuff that happens at the drag strip here on guam, you know, kind of like advertisement. to be honest, there isn't really much that does happen here on guam. so this is like a highlight of the month kind of thing. and i put it on 5 forums being that it's on 2 ralliart forums, 2 tc forums, and our local forums. i was curious as to how different forums with different people would react. so far, the only forum that has me as the victor is evom.net! the other ralliart forum is picking the tc.

none of this is beef or anything. neither of us live in the dorm either. we are both married with 2 kids each. we're just bored on this island in the middle of the pacific and looking for excitement. we both can't wait to get back to the states so that we won't have to spend so much time on the internet. lol. anyways, quit your bitching and just enjoy a good race match.

very good runs ramon. i enjoyed it. we both got a little anxious that first run. the winner was really whoever got the better light. but as we can see, i got the better times! we'll see what happens next time. i won't be stock. i don't know about you winning both races, the timeslip says other wise. here's a link to both slips. you won one, i won one. and i pulled better times. i'm just happy to pull my 15 sec run even in a Density Altitude of 2600ft. bone stock.
