Right, but if one of these guys is a 270 lb lineman and the other is a 125 lb pencil neck geek, there's going to be a big weight advantage.

[OT] Back in the 80's there was a guy named "Pee Wee" Gleason. He did all the drag strip testing for the motorcycle manufacturers because he weighed 125 lbs in full leathers.[/OT]

The small advantage the exhaust may give will not be too significant here. I seriously doubt the intake will be worth anything measureable (I still have to do that when Sac Raceway reopens - test them). It's really going to be a driver's race.

I seriously hope this is a misprint. 205/40/17 is way wrong for a tC. It should be 215/45/17. If it really is the smaller size, WHY?

With those little tires, he's got a clear edge on gearing, but with only 205 width, it'll be hard to take advantage of it without spinning. I give advantage to the Mitsu until the tire issue is resolved.

We know how bad the OEM tires are, but putting on a tire that is way too small regardless of price, makes no sense. I could almost see it if they were 205/45s but 205/40s? That's tiny. +1 for the Ralliart.

I never imagined a discussion about two slow cars could be so intense. Yes, I said it, they're both slow cars, and please let's not start the discussion about bang for buck, you can't win that one either. For far less money than I have in my tC, I could have bought a used F-Body, done heads and cams, and been in the 12's.

What's the big deal here, is there some kind of prize for this or is it just bragging rights?

I totally get that D, you know I do, but 5 different forums? I'm just wondering what's at stake here. I've seen some pretty sick challenges, and I've seen 10's of thousands of dollars change hands on a win/lose. I'm just trying to figure out what the big deal is in this case. Maybe Ralliartist and injen_tC have dorm bitch duty coming up and the loser takes both weeks. I dunno. Just seems mighty heated for a simple race.
