I ordered mine yesterday. You should get the people who run superbrightleds.com to hook you up with some free stuff for sending all this business their way.

wow that would be great. I have tho blue neon strips lighting up the floor, and inside the cup holders, now it looks like I can replace the daul orange lighting in center concal, and the map light whle I'm at it. change the color to blue or white.
I read all the ?s others have asked and replies you gave..
but let me get this straight.
you brought these size blubs (#74 wedge for the cubby, 194 wege 4bulb for the front, and 3022 4 bulb festoon for the rear)
and they replaced the stock blubs. and then project was done..
at a cost to $13 or as cheap price, no need to customized anything to make things fit or triming ot any parts, nor rewiring?.
if this is correct. then woohoo. I can't wait to start on it.

pl let me know. thanks

Okay -- I just royally f**ked up and tried to remove the original bulbs by twisting them, and the socket fell back into the dome light housing.

Does anyone have a definitive procedure for removing the dome light housing? I see the clips on either side of the housing, but there still appears to be something else holding it in. I've been able to retrieve the sockets, but they still need to be installed from the other side of the circuit board in the dome light housing.

Thanks in advance!

I just installed my dome LED's today, this is what u have to do.

Make sure that you don't twist the bulbs

Pull stock bulb out, push LED in, very easy

The back is even easier, the housing had 2 pry holes

And this is what it looks like at night....brighter than i thought they would be

Thanks a lot for the pics and the advice, Repo1981. Appreciate it.

EDIT: Was the cubby light any harder to install?

not harder, just more involved.....ppl have diff. ways to get to the cubby hole light...Since I've taken apart this car so many times....I'm just used to taking the shift and center consoles off to access it.....

Once you do access the cubby hole, it's as easy as unplugging the stock bulb and plugging in the LED.

oh, besides

1) Can LEDs SLOWLY light up?

2) Can the cubby light be removed easily? (tweezers??)

i also have to ask

3) are all 3 lights in the front dome all the same size? I cannot tell and the reference I found for Scion TC lights seems to be f'd up, but from those photos it appears the door light and 2 map lights are all the same

1)Yes
2) kinda. It's not that hard to just pull the console off and install the bulb that way.
3)yes, all 3 are 194's
thanks, man.

But for serious, has anyone taken out the cubby light wo/ disassembling the console? I'm not a big mod guy or tuner or ricer or ANY of that ####.

But this is simple/subtle enough to do, especially since that yellow cubby light is so damn annoying, so if there is an easy way im all ears
