Engine compartment, driver side on a 2007 tC. I removed the battery and noticed this wire dangling. I don't know if I disconnected it unwittingly or it was disconnected before. The other end goes into the engine wall. Note the in-line component. Where should the flat-ring connector be bolted to?

that wire with the ring goes to the battery it is there because the previous owner might have had a stereo system with an amp & subs
