i guess i should share my skiing experiences...

on a trip with the church group (long ago) i ended up by myself on the intermediate slope. i had never been skiing, but i used what balance i had from skating to figure it out. well, i hit the moguls and wiped out hardcore. in the tumble i lost my glasses, which i am blind without. i think i found the frames, but the lenses were gone, hidden away in the snow. i eventually gave up looking and blindly wandered back to the lodge. it was the last day, but i spent the rest of the trip blind until i could get to a spare pair back home.

so we went back to the same slopes the next year, and....the exact same thing happened again. except this time it was at night and i lost the frames and all.

they thought i was joking when i showed up blind the second time.

good times!

... :/

cad, maybe you should consider getting prescription goggles or contacts before the next time you go skiing...?

Also, I dunno if anyone else here has done any rollerblading, but I will say that there are some major similarities in the movements required for rollerblading and skiing.

oh, one difference between wiping out: pavement is a lot harder than snow. Trust me and my recently broken wrist (which took about 7 months to heal to the point of not having daily pain) on that one.

No, on that occasion, I somehow forgot to wear wristguards. Let me tell you, a wrist is not something you want to break.

What does any of this have to do with being Zaino'd?
