I got my TC about one and half month ago.
now I wanna upgrade my car and gain some hourse power.
for the limited resourse, i only get to choose one of them.
Intake, Header, or Exhaust??
but i dunno which one of them would gain most hourse power,
or which one should i upgrade first so i won't ruin my car.
and for the last thing, which brand do you recommend?

please give me some opinions,
i'll appreciate it.
thanks.

last time i pressed the spell check "hourse" is spelled horse.. maybe the spell check button have wronged us.. however.. me personally went with a short shifter.. and then probably an exhaust.

p.s. welcome to the forum x)

You'll need to get both an intake and exhaust - more air in, more air out.... more air in without more air out is useless, and vice versa.

What about everything between the intake and the exhaust?

So far it looks like the header will give the most gains on an otherwise stock car, but it'll be loud, illegal, and won't pass smog if you're in california.

i noticed that i spelled it wrong = =
the header won't pass the smog in California!!??
why did i move here then

i got the shifter, the front strut tower tie bar.
just wanna gain some horse power now.

so the better thing to is to change the inktank and exhaust then.
but...there're so many brands out there,
i was thinking about TRD,
the commonest and most trustfull brand.
and it doesn't have intakes, isn't it?
witch brand would you get??

Headers will void your warranty. I would go with the exhaust. That sound is so good.

If you want CA legal horsepower, get the supercharger. The rest of it is just a waste of money and is not CARB legal anyway.

Sorry Steven, but an intake isn't legal in CA and will not pass SMOG. The exhaust would be legal if you just get an axle-back (like the TRD), but you'd be lucky to gain 1hp from that.

lightweight flywheel is supposed to be good for "freeing up" horsepower that is already there.

I put all three on mine and gained 21whp. So i say try to go for all three. And the headers do not void warranty, but not good for cali.
You got the before/after dyno sheets? On the same dyno? with similar weather?

If only we had a button for grammar. It might make some of us look less stupid.
