hey im trying to get a Scion TC but i was wonderin if insurance companies would get this car as a sports car meaning ,, do i have to pay more insurance than i should becuz this is a 2 door.
At this point so far its seems to be pretty cheep for me, I pay $140 a month for my tC and previously I paid over $240 for my Celica, so pretty cheep, but of course it depends on driving record ect, I have no reported tickets or accidents,
The tC costs about $150 a year more than the wife's '03 Corolla S. So there's no "sporty" increase on the insurance, you just pay a big more based on the fact that it's a 2-door; 2-door will always be more than 4-door, that's just the way they rate it.
The real killer is that it's made by Toyota, so it doesn't depreciate very fast. Expect your insurance to only drop about $30-50 a year if anything.
