I got quoted from the dealership like 400 something dollars, and at a local auto shop they were gonna charge me 560 bucks. Grrr I keep reading about people getting charged around $300 and I'm kinda jealous. Guess I'll just have to keep looking while my TRD springs keep collecting dust.

i think i have done suspension work on at least 15 tC's. my going rate for a set of springs is 100 bucks and six pack of sierra nevada.

Lance offered his garage as well since we're prolly going to do the flywheel after the springs. I'm shooting for early March. I'll keep you guys posted. Might need two twelvers lol.

If D is doing springs, we can do the flywheel at the same time and save an hour or so. Probably be done in about 4 hours total. So we schedule for 8, and drink beer for 4. Works for me.

having qualified mechanics do the work for a heavy discount, plus the advantage of getting your hands dirty with the guys doing the work so you walk away knowing what was done and at least have an idea of how it happened... looking at it that way, yeah, most shops are going to rip you of by comparison.

Yeah, I remember. Since I hadn't done a flywheel yet, it was pretty much a given it was going to take some time, and it sure did. We've learned a lot since then and acquired an essential aid to the process.
