ok guys, well i think we have narrowed it down to me either going with the Injen axle-back exhaust for $330 shipped, or the TRD exhaust for $440 shipped. Which one should I go with?

INJEN!
INJEN gains are bull. All exhausts are good for only looks and sound.
Well i mean im in the same vote as Cade01. Im not sure if i should get the injen or TRD. But i mean i have gotten a good video sound of the TRD exhaust, but i don't really have a good sample for the Injen. just reving and how it sounds when accelerates at a normal pace. Anybody have a sound video for da Injen that would give me a better idea of how it sounds all around.

Injen has a sound clip on their web site if you haven't already heard it.

There are dyno's that say the Injen exhaust give you the gains they say it will. Not saying that dynos are 100% on the money but no has given any real proof that it doesn't do what Injen says it will do.
yeh i know i saw it but i mean like i wanted to get like a vid of how it sounds like wen a tc takes off... kinda thing anybod got dat??? and not dat one vid that has all da different exhaust systems cause it don't really tell me much.

Believe what you want; you won't feel any real HP difference until the sticker goes on the window.

If you don't believe an exhaust system is worth getting or it won't gain anything then why do you have the TRD exhaust?
Exactly what they are made for. Looks and sound. a DUERRRHH! You can believe what you want; it is just true.

Until you provide proof that they do not gain hp your statements are unfounded. Sorry but that's the truth. I'm not trying to call you out or prove you wrong but I need some evidence of what you're saying.
i agree with AlaS. without any serious power adder (FI) an axle back exhaust doesnt really do anything. if u want to SAY that ur car has 3 more horses than stock then fine. u can say that but according to the butt dyno ur not going to feel any faster than any tC on the dealer's lot. nobody is walkin around saying i can blow u out the water with my axelback exhaust. seriously to make a HELPFUL post, i'll say scrap the idea of going axel back if u want actual power. if u want gains do ur homerwork and go with a FULL exhaust system and save up for Forced Induction. also if u STILL wanna go with an axle back and want to get headers, DONT get the TRD. it sounds bad with headers. people say only the SP2 or the EVO2 work with headers and dont sound chitty. im done. i have the TRD and i love how it sounds. g35'ish, and quiet when at idle. it opens up well tho. the only Injen i head was on a auto and it didnt sound like....anything. when the guy opend it up i liked my TRD better. im done now. this tpic has been well worked over.

oh and i've heard of a fair amount of peeople with the Injen exhaust scraping it with a decent lower. THATS what made me go with TRD. im a little to low to play with scraping up 330 dollars on the regular.

I'm not really worried about the performance Im getting out of an axle-back exhaust because i dont expect it to be much. What I am looking for is a great sound! The injen is 330$ and the TRD is 370$, but money doesnt really matter here, its just the sound im trying to decide on. I want something that is going to sound good and intemidate the car next to me. This decision is so difficult. If anyone has any videos of the injen inside the car or a flyby please post it or give me a link. I would really appreciate it.
My Injen exhaust has been ordered from TRD sparks. I should get it Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Thank you guys for all the information and help you have given, this is by far the best scion tc forum I've looked at. also thanks for putting up with me

TRDsparks josh: There are GAINS..but the GAINS are minimal if any. You definatley will not feel a difference. Thus exhausts are mostly for looks and sound. The faster you sound..the faster you feel. woOOt woot.
Let us know what you think of it... PM me if you have any problems with the install (went through it as a newbie but wasn't too bad). I love mine and its on a manual maybe that changes things but when you put some gas into it, its pretty loud.

My car is also a manual. I'm sure i will be able to manage the install pretty well, my dad will help out
I installed my exhaust today! It sounds GREEATTT.. nice deep tone that isnt obnoxious on highways. Will it get any deeper?
thats nice you like it.
A change in sound over stock is a good thing. I have the TRD and it sounds good. S/C sounds good. This car is awesome. (that sounds gay)
get the megan. $390 shipped catback. better than both
