I put the tC through the most grueling test today

Today, was a turning point for me and my views on the scion tC. I was unsure previously about whether the tC could handle foul weather and dense traffic with any type of ease. Today, I got my answer in spades. My commute spanned over 70 miles one way, in the pouring rain......on tight pot-hole filled roads in dense traffic at highway speeds.

Make no mistake from this point on, the tC and its ABS system...handling components.....tires......chassis....and other attributes are top notch indeed. I hit giant puddles at 70 mph.....no problem, had to jam on the breaks....ABS works flawlessly, had to swerve-weave-dip-tuck........and all without peril. I had off-ramps that were backed up around blind corners that required heavy off-camber breaking in the rain, NO problem at all. The chassis was perfect and I cant say enough about how much safer I feel now that Im aware of what this vehicle is really capable of in emergency maneuvers.

Congrats to everyone else who has made the seemingly obvious good decision in purchasing their own Scion tC. -t

Awesome information TCrazy.

I like this car more and more each day.

Nice, that's reasuring! Even though I live in Seattle, it hasn't rained in nearly two months until this week and still, it hasn't rained enough for me to test the car. Thanks TCrazy for the input.

Happy driving!
Good to hear TCrazy! Thanks for posting this. I know potenza tires are very good... just not sure how they will stand up to snow. But good to hear that they're good in the rain!
Nice to hear everything is working so well.... not that I would worry about rain in sunny sd... pot holes on the other hand... I've battled with a few in my days.

lol you makes it sound like you were endangering other ppl while putting it threw your tests. good read though im glad you took the time to do this.
Wow, nice to hear that the tC seems solid in the rain!

It's been raining here but nothing heavy at all. My old car used to sorta' pull to the side and get pissy when I'd hit water puddles on the interstate, and I was just waiting to see how the tC would handle them.

Thanks for the write-up!

Thanks TCrazy - my experiences (quite a few so far) in the rain with the tC have also been excellent. The tC will still pull when you go through puddles, Loopy, but the car is very sure footed.

Yep, good call.

I was just on the interestate, going my normal speed, and drove through a rainstorm that's part of the hurricane hitting the East Coast, and the tC handled it very well!

I hit the same puddle spots I always do and the car didn't feel a bit loose or out of control! It also didn't seem to pull so much in the puddles, but maybe that's because it's a bit heavier and doesn't like being pushed (or pulled) around...

So the grueling test was a normal commute?

your sarcastic posts bore me, make me look like a fool........but at least do it with posts that have something more than sly remarks. Try tossing in a fact or two, or maybe even an opinion!
Didnt know I was here to amuse you. IMO, your test wasnt very "grueling."

Sounds pretty grueling to me, at least for a test that I'm actually willing to put my own car through.

Actually, on second thought...screw that....a 70 mile commute "in the pouring rain......on tight pot-hole filled roads in dense traffic at highway speeds" doesn't sound like something I'd want to put my car through at all....

tCrazy for posting your experience b/c that's something I DEFINITELY want to take someone's else word on (and I'm sure my tC appreciates it too)!

How do you know that......were you in the car with me? Nope, you werent. So what do you consider grueling considering the fact that seem to know so much about testing automobiles. And, the fact that you post in my thread to put your .02 cents in, means you were obvisouly trying to entertain someone. Try and do a better job, all Im getting from you so far is the glaring fact that your about 18 years old with no job and a "hollier than though" attitude.
