"Hey man, what kind of car is that?"

Today I had two different people, both complete strangers, ask me about my tC. One guy asked me how I liked it and then asked me about what came standard, how it handled, etc., and the other guy asked me what it was and complimented my wheels.

I gotta say, the comments and looks are pretty nice.
I never had anyone say, "Hey, nice Corolla," or, "Hey, is that a Supra?" when I had my Corolla.

edit: just testing something...... sorry- T

day 1: stopped at (forgive the spelling) schlosky's, and everyone that I saw drive by would slam the breaks, and double take as they drove by...

nothing,

nothing...(or I'm just not looking for lookers)

7 days later, I'm showing my car off to a friend outside of a store, and as we were walking up to it, a couple of guys parked next to it and got out and gawked at it.
As I was showing off the inside, about 6 people walked up and asked, "uh...can I look inside to?"
and then the dropped jaws dropped even further when I gave them a list of my options

"But what about the wheels?
-standard
the power windows?
-standard
locks?
-standard
but surely the-
DUDE, I promise...its all standard!

and word of mouth is spreading! i went by my dealership to pick up a backordered trunk/hatch mat....the BSP is about 9 months backordered, FM about 6-7 months backordered, and preorders are PILING UP! every day he loggs onto his computer ready to see the message, "orders for 2005 closed. Wait for 2006 model year."

I went to Costco today and as soon as I got out of my car a mid 30s woman came up to me and said I had a very nice looking car and asked me what kind of car it was. I replied Scion tC and she said thats a nice looking car again and walked away haha
I get looks, compliments, people wanting to talk to me about it in parking lots, and my favorite...driving through a parking lot, girl's walking by and STARES at you, and gives you a sexy grin...gotta crack a smile for that one.

no, thats when you yell, and be like "HEYYYYY YOU WANNA GO FOR A RIDE" and if they actually say yes, tell them you stole the car, and that they are now your accomplice. Just see what their reaction would be!

actually the first time I was a little thrown off because the girl kept looking...I was like "come on, Death Cab isn't that good of a band..." (I was listening to death cab for cutie song at the moment...really, really loud. so not a good idea, btw. indie rock is not meant to be blasted). Anyways, the last few times I get girls looking at me I just throw a wave.

One time I was in a subway, and this HOT older woman walked in after me. I don't know how much older she was, but not much. I'm thinking like...mid 20's (I'm 18, btw. I look mid-20's myself, though.) In the store I checked her out, and I don't hide these things. I mae it OBVIOUS I thought she looked good. So I leave, sit in my car for a second because I was trying to find someone's number in my phone. So I'm driving off, on the phone with my friend, and she pulls up next to me and starts asking me about my car...so I hung up on my friend and chatted :-D
spydir you dog......good job!
4 numbers in the past few days, all sparked from the tC.
All the guys in the office love my new tC. They spent over an hour going over the car, asking if so and so was standard and eventually opening up the hood, pointing and just saying "that IS cool." also the day after i got it a guy in my neighberhood was driving by in his bmw coupe and just stopped to check out my car. i happened to be outside and he asked what it was and how much it cost. he was blown away at the price and said the car was real sharp looking.

Have definitely noticed looks from Beamer drivers -- I'm thinking, "Nyah, nyah, my car cost 1/2 what yours did, and it looks way better!"

My co-worker was like "whoa! what kinda car u drive?! i usually can tell what make and model a car is just with a short glance!...but when i saw your car i was befuddled!" hahahhaha! I replied "2005 scion tC, you damn skippy" And in the drive thru of Taco Hell, the teenage cashier went beserk when he saw me rolled up. he was spouting all kinds of tuner lingo i couldn't even decipher! All the while salivating and smacking his lips constantly hahaha! just kidding! Kinda scary cause he looked really out of control! And on the road people would stare at it while driving, which is really dangerous by the way! Don't want anyone to get in an accident over a glance at my tC. But if its a pretty girl, an occasional glance would be ok, if they insist hahahaha!

I've already almost gotten into one accident cause I was so surprised to see another tC...

Fortunately I didn't hit anything (but I was driving a loaner anyway, since my car was at the dealer getting options installed)...

On my first night with the tC, I had it strategically parked in the lot at my friends apartment complex, and a rather rough looking kid rolled up in his early 90's Chevy Blazer. He hit me with all kinds of questions and repeatedly compliemented my rims. That night I elected not to take my car into Philadelphia, but it was tough choice because I expected to come back and see my car jacked on cinderblocks. I need wheel locks!
I have gotten nothing but compliments from everyone that sees it. Last night someone asked me if that was the new audi. (he must have been smoking crack because i really don't see it looking like an audi). I always have people coming up to me and asking about it. Which is better than having people laugh at my old car that I had in college.
A co-worker told me he thought it was a new 2-door Audi also - I don't see it either.
I've heard the same thing about the tC looking like an Audi, and the back of it does look somewhat like the A4...
i think thats a bit of a stretch, but i'd definitely take it as a compliment. Hey, if you can pass a 18000 car for a 30000 one, why not, right?
It's mostly in the taillights that there's some resemblance, if you ask me... I don't like Audis, though, so it's fine with me if my car doesn't really look like one.
