When I bought my tC, the sales rep said that the gauges would bounce to the top and then settle in upon starting the car. Mine don't do that. Could this be a sign that trouble is ahead with my car? I don't really care if the gauges do this little trick or not, but it does make me kinda curious about what's going on in the dash!

Let me know if anyone has had similar experiences, please.

as ED said, take it to the dealer. The gauges sweep to their max positions and then reset, its a calibration. Even though it isnt VITAL to the cars operation, it still is something that you paid 17k for and it should work. Get it fixed ASAP, you deserve a perfect product from the factory. - t

i agree. my car does the sweep and reset also. take yours to get fixed. with this type of problem you never know if the gas gauge might be wrong, and that is not good.

Ditto....have that checked. Maybe it's not a big problem...but you never know....always better safe than sorry.

GOOD LUCK!
