as a ny'er, the first time i got a ticket for no front plate, it happened to fall off because the front screws were loose. 85 bucks later, you make sure that doesn't happen again. damn, ny sucks

I had to laugh at this one, mostly because in CA we have a new law. If your windshield wipers are one, your headlights must be on too.

I guess not a lot of Cali ppl know, cuz I see them driving around w/o their headlights on.

Sorry, not everyone knows all the laws. At least until they get busted, they don't know them.

So all you cali ppl, turn on your headlights if your windshield wipers are on.

It's not effective until July 1 this year. They rolled back the implementation date.

I turn them on anyway. No idea if its a law or not, but its common sense.

it's been law in ny for about 10 years now. Technically if it's raining and you're using your wipers, headlights usually help to see the other drivers, so for once it's a law that makes some sense.

We've had the headlights/wipers law in Georgia as long as I've been aware, and I still see people driving around in pouring rain with no headlights. I always assumed it was because they're stupid or clueless.
