Finally.....

in all places -- in Walmart, but one of the managers was out there having a cigarette and turned to admire my car. He asked several questions and was impressed.

I don't live for this kind of stuff, but given that I have yet to see another tC in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, it is kind of nice when someone does notice!

Still enjoying the car. Only rattles are from the sunroof, and not too bad at that. My 2001 3.0L Z3 had as many rattles, and one of it = 3 tCs. The Z3 was still one hot car!
0 to 60 in 6.2 seconds. No one in a Tiburon would argue with it.

Take care,

Dan

hey that's cool..
i finally had some older gentleman look at the car, was walking out of the supermarket.. and i see this guy approach the car, look at the rear name.. in disbelief (or confusion) then he walks around to the front.. still not understanding what it is.. then he walked back to his store.. i didn't have a chance to say anything to him.. he was gone by the time i got over to the car.. but he was respectful in looking at the car, he kept his distance.. i didn't feel he was going to key it, like some of the stories from scionlife (sheesh)

Finally... I had a tC sighting, that wasn't one of my own car of course. I was at a sushi place and the Flint Mica tC came up to the driveway and was waiting to be valeted. Everyone waiting outside the restaurant looked at the car and kept asking eachother what kind of car it was- they were struck with awe. I talked to the owner, he looked 45-ish and was a pretty cool guy. I asked what he thought of the tC and he said it was "cool".
Well I experienced another tC moment yesterday as I was driving on the 805 South from Carlsbad to San Diego. I was driving in my car with my fiance when a (I think) white VW golf passed us on the left side. There where 3 guys in the car and I knew they were looking at the car because they had first passed us, then slowed down to drive in parallel, then slowed down even more to see the rear of the car. I didn't pay much attention cause were driving on the freeway... 75+. My fiance and I were discussing about which way to drive home because they had recently opened up a new freeway. We decided to try it out so I began to switch lanes to get to the exit. When I moved one lane over, the guys in the VW started to drive in parallel of us again. I don't know if my fiance noticed but I just ignored them. They were still in the fast lane but there were no cars between us. And when I was just about to switch lane again ... I heard this yelling coming from the outside of the car and I knew where it came from. At first i thought maybe something was wrong with the car so it kinda freaked me out... but that thought quickly passed when I finally looked over at them and realized one of them had written their phone number on a piece of paper and plastered it against the window. I would have laughed but my fiance was in the car. Honestly I don't even know if he noticed.

Anyways... one score for the tC as a guy magnet.

I think we need pictures of you to figure out whether or not it was actually the tC

haha, I'll second that, why not?!

I've been pretty impressed with the responses I've gotten also. Literally 2 minutes after I pulled out of the dealership yesterday I had some guys pull beside me at a light asking me what the retail was followed by some tC praise.
I didn't really think I would like the attention but I've been getting such a kick at watching people walk past my car, do a double-take and then backtrack to check it out. What a damn sweet car the tC is.

My wife thinks its an affliction!

LOL...I second that!

I was driving during lunch today and when I was at a stop light I saw a fairly nice looking white Civic pull up in the other lane (one to my left and one car behind me). There were three guys in the car (two of which were pretty cute) and I noticed the guy in the passengers seat sorta' moving his head around trying to check out the back of my car.

Well, the person in front of me was slow as crap so they wound up passing me when the light turned green, but I soon moved over to avoid getting stuck behind a metro bus that was stopping to let people out. Anyway, when I got behind them the guy in the back seat turned around and faced backwards, checking the view out.

Then I sorta' laughed/smiled and moved into the other lane and blew by 'em...man it was fun. Hehe.

Was nice to have them looking too, b/c their car looked pretty nice. Had great wheels on it, and they had done something to the rear light housing (sorta' all amber/smoked color....no idea really)...but it still looked clean.

Oh yeah, and the person at Hardees asked about my car......again......hehe then she said, "Oh wait.....I've asked you that before haven't I? You got your hair cut and died, right?" I was like, "Yep..hehe." Oh well...it's a good feeling anyways.
