I had to drop off the Camry (failed o2 sensor) at the local Toyota dealership a couple weeks ago and saw another FM tC. My wife and I laughed as we drove by because it looked like it was ready for a flood.

Nice job on the drop. Looks good!
Were you aware that your hood doesn't match the rest of the car?
what set of lowering springs are on. I know that you are on Teins but are you on the S. Techs or the H. Techs? BTW, very nice lowering job there!
nice! I wish my driveway was all mellow sloped like that, i'd slam my car too!

hey do any of you folks with the trd springs park in a driveway with a sidewalk at the end? Im worried once i get them i'll scrape coming out of my drive
I've got a pretty nasty transition on my driveway. I've just had to angle the car a bit with the TRDs, but I rarely scrape.

lol, i said this in his last post, and evryone took offense. Im glad to see someone thinks the same way i do.
I guess it all depends on why you buy a CF hood. If you bought it because it's light and strong, you'd paint it. If you want everyone to be impressed because you have a CF hood, you leave it with the weave showing.

Personally, I'd paint it.

On a street car the reduced weight isn't even close to worth the cost of the hood. Anybody putting a CF hood on a tC is doing it for looks...

I angle my car as it is coming down lol, good to hear tho, mine isnt really harsh, just a standard raised sidewalk slope
My Supra scraped on D's driveway.

Like the lowered look

I've been tempted (and asked by my kid why not) to lower mine, but have driveway scraping fears... just can't stand that sound. ouch

haha i love the positive and negative comments on my CF hood, it's my style and what i like, i know some of you guys have the mesh grille and some stickers and everything w/ cleared out corners street glow and everything ricey u can think of, but i don't hate it on it, not my thing to do, i love all tC's i just want my tC to look different from yours
and the reason why u can't see the weaves is because my stupid camera phone quality and the clear coat on it, and to those who gave positive feedback on the lowering, they're on s. tech's VERY easy to install did it in like 3 hours with a lunch break and a couple smoke breaks and i never scraped yet and i go up pretty steep driveways sometimes, u just gotta go slow..the car looks lower especially from the front because of the tC's front end, which is kind of big..i think it drops it a lot lower than the TRD springs w/out really messing up the ride, the stock shocks should last for a while, but like all lowered cars, they need new shocks that are made for lowered cars, i heard the TRD shocks were good though, does anybody have them?....anyways i <3 my tC and ALL tC's for that matter...that's all that matters btw ****** the hood is CF if it was an unpainted hood it wouldn't even shine, and for those who wonder why i got it is because i got it for a real real good deal...btw of course the hood is for looks otherwise i'd get the whole car CF, but isn't that what we're all doing? making our cars LOOK different from stock? well that's my opinion....lets stop the hate

Here we go again, why does my different opinion mean hate? You want hate, I can spit it out really quick and easy. How about: QUOTE
I think only the most vain, self-centered, egotistical, and just plain pathetic people buy cars for appearance's sake alone.[/b]
OrQUOTE
Only the most impoverished, cheapest, money grubbing people would buy a hood they can't afford to paint.  It looks like a junkyard special.[/b]
That's hate.

Saying QUOTE

isn't hate. It's expressing an opinion. You posted pics of your car. The replies aren't hate. No one said you suck. No one said you are stupid for doing it. They just expressed their opinions about how it looks to them. That surely isn't hate.
