has anyone else noticed an increase in the amount of honda elements on the road? it has gotten to the point where i see more elements than xbs. what's up with that?

I haven't experienced that just yet. The boxes still reign supreme as far as I've noticed.

i actually like the element better then xb...
but anyway,
here in marin honda they had a sale last year about this time and i believe they have a sale again right now, so you get like 4k off the car price + anything you can bargain off... only thing i don't like about element is the clumsyness of interior...

maybe they're trying to get rid of the older models in your area too, kwiksilver.

now that's funny.

the thing i don't like about the element, other than the shape, is the fact that half of it has all that gray plastic stuff all over it. it's like only the top half is painted and the lower half is all plasic gray. the chevy avalance has the same thing and i think it makes it look really cheapy.

The thing I don't like about the Element is how it's uglier than that fat chick in the bikini in the other thread...

Okay, that's not really true. But it's still really darn ugly.

P.S. I saw two Elements next to each other in traffic the other day, but I think it was just a freak occurrence since those must have been about the 5th and 6th ones I've ever seen.

Elements are definitely fugly. Their drivetrain kinda sucks too...seems like a rather large car for such a small engine, no?

Did I mention that it was fugly?

a friend of mine owns one. so the only thing i dont like about the car (as i already mentioned, i liked the looks better then xb... which means it's not the ugliest car on the road imo) is the way it feels sitting inside.... it's like sitting in a kitchen on a stool. interior is very cheapsy too. though the owner is happy alright, says it's cool because it's sitting on the old-proven-itself prelude drivetrain, and even though it looks rather truck-size it's not too heavy for the 160hp under the hood... well, he's a kinda mellow older guy too, so he really doesn't expect from 160hp of element what you would expect from tc's 160...

and come on, does really EVERYBODY hate the looks this much? am i really way crazy to think it's not that bad?

Both the Element and the xB are pretty darn ugly, to me...I saw another xB this morning, and I keep wanting to think that they're not ugly, since they're fellow Scions and I feel some kind of inexplicable bond to them now, but MAN, they're UGLY!

I have nothing against xB. If I was 10 years younger, was still in college and had no gas money, I'd probably be driving an xB. Maybe not. The interior is too much like an Echo.

that's my situation and i chose the tc.

and yes, i think the xb is ugly. i never said it wasn't. i guess i don't hate it as much as the element because it is like basilisk4 said, it is a fellow scion.

but i have no reason to like the element, it's not family. in fact, it might actually be the competition depending on how you look at it. so that's why i don't like it more than the xb.
