Had one of these on my Z3 and wished I had kept. I finally got around to getting the one for the tC and really like it. AAR, a search did not reveal the answers to the following questions:

Does the green light on the mirror stay on all the time (like when the key is removed)?

Does the mood light cycle off or must it be manually shut off?
